Message: I've got one to be added to the birthday list - me. Thank you, Sherry
Well Happy Birthday Sherry. Hope you have a great day. BTW you or anyone can add their Birthdate to the Birthday List by going to the Login Page, entering your user name and password and adding your birthdate. You can also add or change email addresses, find your dues status, add or update your mailing address, add, change, or delete married names, etc. If you've forgotten your user name and or password, email me and I will help. If you don't have a user name and password, get them by going to the alumni registration page. Hope this helps all in the future. It really is an uphill battle keeping all our email and address info up to date, people just forget to change it. So PLEASE, if your email and address info needs updating, do it yourself with your user name and password or ask me and I'll be glad to help.

Message: What a surprise to open Cougartown this morning and read of Don Burns passing. Don and I skated at Westchester and Redondo Beach from the mid 50's. It was always great seeing and talking with him at all our CT events. My thoughts and prayers go out to all his friends and family.

Message: I am saddened to hear about Don Burns passing. He was a great guy. He took care of all my lock needs. From time-to-time I would stop by and see him at his store when having lunch at Ming's restaurant in Bellflower just down the street from him. I will miss seeing him at the Cougartown events. RIP Don old Pal.

Message: John, I saw on the bulletin that Cruise night is planned for April 4th. Easter Sunday is April 5th and I'm sure a lot of Cougars will be traveling. I, for one would be there even on December 25th. But I cannot tell a lie, I wouldn't miss my 53rd wedding anniversary for anything, no matter how much I love Cougartown.....
Well thanks for that update, Richard. Cruise Night has been changed to March 28th and I know Joanie isn't old enough to have been married 53 years

Message: John I looked at Feedback and saw the issue with AOL mail...so I went to spam folder and there was your email of Jan 22...so I declared it NOT SPAM and it went to my new mail and I read it and I like the email about new events....a good idea and now I just need to tell AOL that you are not spam....do you know how I do that? Thanks for all you do.
Hi Stephanie, I think adding my email address to your AOL address book used to work. I've been sending out Cougartown Happenings twice a year for about the last 5 years so you have been missing lots of stuff.

Message: John: A few months ago you were wondering what happened to all the old trophies from the trophy cases. Last week I stopped to say hi to principal Newell and a quick walk revealed the old trophies sitting in Nyman Hall in the cardboard boxes we used to transport them back to Mark Newell. The new trophy cases in the Administration building are nearly full, mostly with band trophies from the past five years.
Good News Clark, thanks man. We'll find a place for them.

Thank you Pat, it was sent on Wednesday to the class of 64. Any other AOLers receive their Cougartown Happenings email? There are 894 aol.com email addresses on the website and that is a big chunk of Cougars.

Read it and saw it..GREAT Movie. Also American Sniper is one of the very best I've seen. Of course the last movie I saw before these was Transformers, about 8 years ago with my grandson so not much of a critic.

Message: Hey Dennis, interesting question. I'm not a big movie buff so I cheated and looked it up. Actually his first movie was an uncredited role as a poolroom kid in "These Wilder Days" starring James Cagney, 1956. (Alhough he had done some small T.V. roles in 1955). But I think the one you are going for is "I Was A Teenage Werewolf" 1957. Interesting that "...Werewolf" should be his first movie. He shares my birthday; October 31st...Halloween!

Message: Doesn't anyone here know their sci-fi? WOTW is not about Godzilla. It is those creepy goose-necked creatures with the heat rays that disintegrate people when they are struck by them. It is one of the creepiest sci-fis ever. L.A. was under attack and then the world, and not even bombs dropped by Flying Wings could penetrate their force fields. Finally, as people file into church to await the end, the Martian ships start crashing because the creatures could not withstand our viruses and bacteria and started dying off. WOTW was also the radio show where Orson Welles narrated the story and had half the country in a panic.
Now you ruined it for me
