Message: Hi all, its with a heavy heart that I tell you we've lost another Cougar. John Subers, class of 66 passed away Monday 9/8. He lost his 4 year battle with cancer, but fought with every piece of strength he had. All of those who knew him aren't surprised. We married in 1989 and moved to Apple Valley 3 years ago. Cheers Baby, we love you!
Always tough to hear this kind of news, Lisa. Our sincerest condolences to you and the rest of John's family.

Message: Is anyone going to the Class of 69 Reunion in October? I thought it would be a good idea to car pool with a designated driver. Five years ago I drove into a check point on my way home from the 40 year reunion. Fortunately I hadn't sampled too many of the really good margaritas.
Anyone going?

Message: Yahoo! I finally had my FIRST Cougar sighting! This morning I went to the Elks Lodge up at Lake Isabella with my dad and the greeter at the door was Janet Shinn Robertson, class of 1955. What a lovely lady. Of course, it was not a sighting for my dad - he already knew her. Don't worry, Clark, at the rate I'm going, it will be awhile before I catch you. John, I have Feedback listed as one of my "favorites" and I have had no problems accessing the site through your ups and downs.
Hi Linda, Great Sighting there boy. A long way from Haytown. Thanks very much.

Message: John, I am still having trouble with the site, navigating from one part to the other and wondered if others are having the same difficulties. I found sort of back way in, but it is a hassle. So I was going to suggest, with some reunions and get-togethers coming up that you include a note on Feedback with some of the info (dates and who to contact for example) so those who can't reach one part of CT can at least still have an opportunity to come to the events. I for one would love to see more people show for our 50th.
Hi Pat, Please email me specifics. Instead of "navigating from one part to the other" tell me from what page to what page. I know there are still problems and would like to narrow it down a bit. Thanks for the help.

Message: JB, I don't know what all this talk is about 'truth' as it all must be an internal bantering going on. I'll only say that it seems to be another dull cat fight in CT. Can I throw in that truth can be a double edged sword, a mixed emotion and/or just a personal opinion. ex: It's like watching your mother in law go ever a cliff in your new Cadillac. Remind me not to ask if this outfit makes me look fat! Also, I wanted to give my condolences to Jody Halberg Weller as her mother just passed away. All our mentors from Sundale ave have left this earth. Last but not least, I suppose I have some major butt kissing to do since your birthday came and went and I didn't get your happy birthday wishes in time. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY SID BAKERMAN!!! I've said it before, and I'll say it again, "I'd luuuuve to kiss yah, but I just washed my hair.
Til, You have to come around more often that once a month to know what's what. Like me going to facebook, I never know what to banter is about. Also, my sincerest condolences to Jody on the loss of her mother.

Message: Here's one thing CM actually got correct. I did rip some teachers at HHS. They fully derserved it. But I did learn a lot from them as a result of that experience though. I learned how to stand up to naked authority and challenge the status quo and not put up with crap from people who are only interested in advancing themselves to the detriment of others. So thanks for reminding me of that experience as I recall the time I told certain members of the athletic department to stick it up up their rear. Their petty retributions stung at the time, but looking back now I have absolutely no regrets. I carried that experience into the school board hearings that I attended post graduation since I had petitioned for adult rights for all 18 year old students. Those are not acts of a coward. That's someone with principles and not some suck up willing to compromise for the sake of fleeting recognition. That later part should be familiar to many. And if telling the truth is a sin then show up anytime with that false bravado. Just remember, I'm faster, stronger and more experienced.

Message: I'm very sorry to hear about my childhood friend Joe Lamonica. We were best friends in grammar school and spent hours riding bikes and playing with his giant Lionel train set. We even double dated in sixth grade. I remember being very nervous with my date and "Joey" was calm and seemed very sophisticated and sure of himself with his. Once we started Jr High at Dana, we went separate ways and I don't remember spending time together in HS. I'm glad we were friends at Sepulveda and will remember the fun times two good buddies spent together. My condolences and prayers to his family.
