Message: Sorry John. I could probably tell you the title of every song, the artist, the label, the flip side and when the song was released, but I have NEVER, EVER been any good at the sound bite game. I am usually recognizing the first one by the time it is on the tenth or twelfth bite. Hate those things!
I was wondering where you were on this. OK sorry John, but these should be EASY for you.

Message: Bare with me, did anyone see "House Hunters" last week? A young couple wanted a beach house in the south bay and had $350k to spend. After looking at shacks in Manhattan and Redondo they bought in Holly Glen. Their realitor told them it was an easy 2.5 mile bike ride to the beach. Anyone tried to ride a bike down Rosecrans lately? Good way to get killed.
Motorcycle maybe.

Message: Well it is a story that must be told. A few weeks ago the midnight stalker said he was coming to Solvang to have lunch with me and to instruct me in the finer arts of locating and befriending former HHS students wherever they be found, even Solvang. Well yesterday I drive into the driveway and park my truck. Out of a parked car exits a man about 56 calling my name. Now mind you this is no ordinary looking person. He has an old Cougar hat, a gold jacket, a rugby shirt all gold and scarlet, scarlet pants with a gold bet, one scarlet shoe and one gold shoe. A gold sock worn on the same foot with the scarlet shoe and a scarlet sock on the same foot as the gold shoe. To top it off he has a gold and scarlet button that says KISS ME IF YOU ARE A COUGAR. "Yes," I reply, "Hi Jim I am" and before he can finish I say "Clark Millman", he nods. "Ready for lunch, he asks?" Speechless I walk over to his car, it's about 12:30. I am beginning to sweat profusely as we travel to the Alisal River course for lunch. I immediately flashed back to that time when I was a Junior in high school and on a late night sojourn back from my Aunt's with the folks, they decide to stop at Fosters for an ice cream. Death was a welcome thought then as now. I slump down in the seat hoping that anyone who knows me does not see me and for that matter anyone who doesn't know me. We enter the restaurant. He starts slow, looking around for a victim or a Cougar or, geez why am I here? Within minutes a 40 something woman walks over to our table, Clark smiles and says "see now watch and learn." "Hello" he says charmingly, "hello" she says, "do you gentlemen need to see a menu?" We do. Then he spots a woman more his age and walks over to her. Anyone ever watch I love Lucy and get that overwhelming uneasy feeling as she gets over her head in predicaments? That was my feeling, totally overwhelmed. I knew this was not going to end well I could see Clark, a nice guy, go down with pepper spray or worse. To my surprise, this very attractive lady stands up gives Clark a hug that made his eyes pop out and said, "I went there too." I am shaking my head astounded how quickly he landed a COUGAR sighting and I am a witness, the doubter is becoming a believer in the Cougar stalker. Then the woman starts singing the USC fight song and I realized we are back to I love Lucy. I put my head in my hands, I don't want to watch Clark get humiliated as he drifts back to the table. He says nothing and we order. I don't know what to say and Clark says nothing. Five minutes later he gets approached again, this woman says hey I went to that school. Clark responds, it's not USC. She responds yeah I know we got that all the time when I was in school. Clark perks up and she starts singing the Minnesota Gopher fight song. Cheer up Clark, I think the next one has to be either one of us or an Iowa State Cyclone and what chance does have of happening?" As I finished saying happening, a young girl about 22 walks into the restaurant and says over her shoulder, Sally this is it, one of the old Cyclone booster stalkers is here. This is absolutely true except for the parts that aren't.
Hey Scarlet and Gold, Cardinal and Gold, Maroon and all looks the same to most girls. I'll bet Clark is checking in on the Gophertown website too.... do they have Gopher Sightings over there, Jim? Thanks man and now we know the REST of the story.
