Message: I know this doesn't count as a sighting but while at the MB Hometown Fair, I wandered over from the fire station blood drive to look at the beautiful "old" woodies that were on display and one of the most lovingly restored cars was owned by Cal and Noreen (Crotty) Culley. They were not around but that car was beautiful.
I know Cal and Noreen have a beautiful Olds but have never seen their Woody. Cal and Noreen, please bring it to the next Cruise Night in April.

Message: Met Bill Snyder today at BookFrog. Just as delightful in person as in his book, The Eight-fingered Crimnal's Son. I arrived an hour early by mistake and couldn't stay for the best part: the reading. Thanks, John Baker, for bringing this writer to my attention. Cougartown and you are the best.
Thanks Stephanie, Yep, if you grew up in good old Hawthorne "The Eight Fingered Criminal's Son" is a must read.

Thank you Loretta, Rich's Pictures are in with Gordon's in the top link. I think there were a total of about 900 pictures taken. I went through them on Monday and Tuesday and took the best (a little less than 300). We still have 3 or 4 videos to add which I'll do when I get them. Again, a fantastic 62 reunion.

Anita, Just talked to Kathy Brooks and she said she was not that teacher. She started at Cabrillo in September of 1959.

Message: Re the time capsule, I know that Ray Hahn talked about what to put in the capsule and the Class of '62 would have a Cougar Rooter button. I don't know where it was buried. Perhaps it has already been unearthed.
Someone in our class should have the answer, Sandra. Maybe George Rea knows its whereabouts.

Message: WOW!!! where do I start. The 62 reunion was the BEST ever! There were friends there that I don't remember seeing at any of our past reunions. I have to admit it has been years since I sat up laughing and talking until 3:00 in the morning! And....still making it to 8:00ish breakfast. (Maybe it WAS Glenn's bubbles.) The committee out did themselves and I know we all appreciate all their hard work and dedication to making this such a success. The love from our classmates to all of our classmates was overwhelming! How lucky were we to have spent those very special years with such very special people! Love to you all...let's do it again!! Janet Humphreys Burkett HHS '62.
I feel exactly the same way, Janet, thanks for being there and to all who missed it, we'll do it again in about 5 years.

Thanks too, to Ely Obillo, Eugene's wife for the beautiful centerpieces for our tables, our photographers, Gordon Bell for working the front camera and taking the classmates pictures and to Rich Sloan for his candid shots and videography. Also thanks to Rich and Mary Sloan for helping out so much on the Cougartown picnic today. I had no time to plan the picnic today. Rich and Mary provided our needs with food and drinks. Glenn Crist, thanks too for providing our libations for the weekend, you guys are the best. Thanks so much to Coach Chauncey and wife Cathy, Coach Alex Bravo, and Teachers Harry Plotkin from Dana and Kathy Brooks from Peter Burnett. The Ayres was such a great venue and the staff bent over backward for all. Let's do it again for the Class of 62 turns 72 in 4 years.

Message: The "Cougar Stalker" is still on the prowl....A totally legit Cougar sighting...While running errands for my mom I met Teri Roybal (HHSA '69) at the Rite Aid in Palos Verdes. I was able to name drop a few of her classmates to prove I was really from Hawthorne. The search goes on! HHS went down to Leuzinger last night 34-20 and is now 1-4 for the season. I think I better stop in on Coach Swain this wsek and remind him that the alumnae expect more than one win for the season!
Hi Clark, way to go and I too had a sighting at the Ayres in Hawthorne while checking out this morning. Class of 2006 Taina Robles works there and we had a real nice chat. Thanks Clark for your sighting and thanks to Taina for being a Coug.

Message: Tuned into Feedback today after missing a couple months (sorry). I didn't realize about the Beach Boy dilemma, but I did sign the petition. Also, I just wanted to add about famous celebrities that once lived in good ole Hawthorne. I don't know if anybody ever knew this, but Fay Wray of the original King Kong movie once lived there back in the 60 & 70's. A friend of mine was her mail carrier and I believe it was somewhere near 139th and Ramona.
Did not know that Paul, thanks, and thanks for adding to the petition.
