Message: I wanted to let everybody know that Leonard Bohacik, class of '62 passed away last month. He died in his sleep. He was my next door neighbor on 135th street and we had some good times. My late husband use to go skin diving with his father and we travelled to Mexico often. Thats when it was safe to go to Mexico. I don't think there are many of the class of '63 left. I don't see any posts from that year. I really like this site. It's groovy, man

Message: Hey John, just wanted to check in. I have lots of good memories of good old HHS, some good some not so good. My favorite teacher was Mrs. Marks. I loved her stories about the indian reservations. Hey Howard (Paco) you don't remember me but I'm Terry Benjamin's little sister, Marni. I do remember you tho. You were the funniest person. You always cracked everybody up. I told my younger sister Connie about this site and she agrees with me that it is awesome. You will be hearing from her because she is one of the missing, class if 65. If there are any classmates out there that remember me, email me. I particularly would like to know the whereabouts of Chet Gagnon. He was another very funny guy. We had a ball in history class. Could you tell me what Bob Rierdon died from. Eddie Longmore asked me if I knew and I'm sorry to say I just learned of his passing. So sad. He was a nice guy. Keep up the awesome work. I love browsing thru this especially when I'm feeling lonely.

Message: Suzie Bierman.... you bust me up. CRUISE NIGHT #1 was 13 years ago (I think) & we were 13 years younger. I don't know if I can still get my bra to starch up and iron into a point anymore, the metal stays keep that from happening. I only wear my orthopedic tennis shoes now with wool socks, and now all of a sudden the weather dictates to us.. (yes, we're older) Jan says he shaves his head now for fashion, I happen to know what's still growing on the head and it's a fast shave! Most of us think we're slower, more feeble, forgetful and uncoordinated, but the truth is (& I've told you this on facebook) we're all just wearing progressive lenses now. That would slow down the roadrunner. We have to watch our cholesterol intake and lactose is a big time prob. French fries are out and if Fosters doesn't have a substitute, like cole slaw, we're out of luck. Malts--I think not!! Perhaps a nice diet coke will hold us over for the night. I do remember one thing in the early 60's that could be embarassing was to drive into Fosters looking hot (we thought)--and drive right back out again, making the loop! That's why we're parking in Ralph's lot and walking in. See you there. Oh, yah, I was only kidding about not eating, what's not to love about Fosters. So we'll shave off a week of our lives. Jan & Judy

Message: Hello John, Don Scheliga just had quadruple heart bypass surgery. They took the balloons out today. He looks very good and hopes to be home on Wednesday. It was very close last week they had to move him from one hospital to another due to insurance reasons. But he hung in there and made it through all of it. Doctor told him no more greasy hamburgers. The things us old folks have to put up with. Have good day everyone.

Message: Just had an excellent brunch with fellow 76ers Jim Magrini( down from Denver for job training) and Tamara (Tammy) Perius. Had a great time at Eat at Joes in Redondo and the best part was that thanks to having HHS in common, Tamara and I felt like old friends even though we ran with different crowds in high school. Encouraged her to come to Cruise Night next week so hopefully lots of 76ers will show!

Looking forward to seeing you and Bill and Dizzy Liz, Judy, Jan, Marsha, Mo, the Frasers, Harry and Kathy, Paco, Don, Dan, Joe, Dennis, and so many more - you all know who you are! And I'm hoping for a big gang of 70's. Be there or be square! I've missed you all. Wonder if sweet George Key could be convinced to come? If you bring some memorabilia, we'll all get to see it again. See you all then. XO

Message: It's only a week away from Cruise Night and no one is talking about it. Get on the stick and let us know if you are planning on coming out. Brother Bill and I will be there along with Pam Fees. Let's hear from some of the others that are coming. I remember one Cruise Night when Bill and I and our mom showed up and there was lonely little Princess (Doris Donaldson) all by herself. It was so cold that night that everyone decided to stay home. John didn't even show up. The 4 of us talked for about 5 minutes and then we left and went back home. Doris, do you remember?

Message: I just spent a most enjoyable evening with a fellow Cougar tonight. Sue Bierman King was up in Sacramento on business and asked if we could get together for dinner. We met at the Cheesecake Factory and spent the next 3 hours having dinner, sharing a bottle of wine, and just catching up. It is the strangest thing...there was never a year at HHS that we spent together but the first time I met her and her sister Sharon at a CT Picnic about 6 years ago - it was as if we had been classmates all along. Tonight was no different. To frienships begun...

Message: As always, Janny and I would like to thank everyone from HHS for supporting the Haw. VFW breakfast. I find it strange that we will wizz all around that tank from 9 - 11:30...and then when we get ready to sit down and eat, everyone leaves. Tommy Shelley and Bob Fraser through me a bone and sat with me this time. I was only subject to looking at pictures of a snowman that Tom made a few days ago when it was so cold. Personally, it didn't look like a snowman to me, but that's another story. Hope to see everyone on Cruise Night. If we drive in and everyone leaves, I'll take it personal!! Your friendly serving wench/juice maiden.

Message: What a wonderful Sunday morning!! I had the pleasure of visiting with some of my good friends at the VFW breakfast. It's such a great opportunity to reconnect with friends in a very relaxed and comfortable environment. It was a good turnout, so I won't start "naming names". If I do I'll miss someone. And the breakfast was definitely not a secondary feature. It was excellent, as usual. (and for only 7 bucks!?) Thanks Jan and Judy and all the kitchen crew. And thanks, as well, to all the young people who take their time to help the VFW Post by serving. It's a very positive thing to see and, I think, a positive experience for them. A very nice and worthwhile event...keep it going!

Message: It is with very sad news that I am letting all the Cougartown family know that last night Nadine Fryar Vaillancourt, class of 59, went to be with Jesus with her family and friends around her. Her favorite singer, from what I can gather was Elvis. When she left this world, her family was playing Elvis music. When she had taken her last breath, the song "That's Alright Mama" by Elvis came on. She is one person that will be missed by so many people. If or when I hear of any services, I will let the Cougartown family know. Love you Nadine and will miss you so!
