Message: Regarding blood donations for John Crotty. Anyone, please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe you do not have to be the same blood type to donate blood in John's name. If you are not his type, he of course, would not be given your blood. However, your donation will be credited to him and he will get credit for your donation and he will get a pint of his blood type. I suggest for anyone who is able to donate, that they take the time to go to the nearest blood bank and donate blood. I am unfortunately unable to give blood because of medications I am taking.

I learned this weekend that I met Elizabeth Estrada in the 4th grade at Ramona Park. She remembered vivid details - me I can't remember any of it. We all had as much fun as we did 45 years ago - except we couldn't stay awake past 10 pm! We remembered old crushes (Bobby Parrish's name came up a few times). Message: So many things to address here on Cougartown. First of all, I hope John C's speedy recovery. I had the pleasure of golfing with him many years ago at one of our tournaments. John was very easy going a lot of fun. If John does need blood, I'm AB+, and it would be an honor to donate to John. Message: Wolfie.. Seems like when i sit back and think of HHS and our class Wolfie would come into my memories more times than not. Why i don't know. We were teamates in football and one funny story i remember was the team were playing against had this HUGE offensive lineman that just kept hammering me. So back at the bench i mentioned to Wolfie how this guy was walking over me. Wolfie said "Just hit him in the groin as hard as you can, and make sure the ref isn't looking " BOY did that work! He wasn't wearing a cup either OUCH! But like others have said, It was his SMILE .... and kindness to all his classmates. I guess Wolfie is my only true "cougar sighting" About 3 years ago my wife and i were walking on the Redondo Beach pier. And because of that international smile I reconized him! We had a great time that afternoon and of course my wife thought he had a great smile so my memories will be even brighter and stronger now that Wolfie is in peace. And to those whom morn his loss "Death is not extingushing the light, It is only putting out the lamp Because the dawn has come" Your in peace my brother and that your smile will stay with us forever and beyond, Jim
