Message: Let's see, where to begin....Barbara Duran - I know a gal who brokers jobs for heavy equipment folks - would that help or are you just on the Cougar prowl for a good looking manly man? ; )) And Marsha and Mo were out and around again, huh? I learned something interesting about how small the world is for all of us....check your old Crocker Bank passbooks. Mo Trott told me she was a teller there and her entries were signed by the simple initial "T". I wonder how many of us came through her line...I'm looking for my old passbook this weekend. That explains why I feel connected to her!! And yes, Baby Sis Sharon is the queen of investigation. People could take lessons from her on how to contact lost folks to get them noticed about upcoming reunions. Also, I'm thinking we need to add to the T-shirt line - us girls are looking for a special "Cougar" t-shirt design...if you know what I mean. Sharon Leach does! ; )) Ok, enough for tonite. Thanks all for making my life fun. XO to you JB.

Message: Thanks, everyone for your response to my question. Actually, I knew what the programs were about (or the plots, etc.) and I wasn't seriously suggesting that this could be a legal matter, here....just thought it was quite a coincidence that both "Hawthorne" and "cougar town" should come out in the same season. Made me wonder if someone "in the business" might have been inspired to use our names by having been introduced to John's special website and the town and people who fill its pages (but not having anything to do with the programs' subject matter)...hope someone knows what I'm trying to say?

Message: Hey John! I may not be an expert on this internet stuff, but I think it would be easier just to type Cougartown.com into the address bar, rather than Google or another search engine. What I DO know, is that someone can pay Google to get a higher position in their search results, which I suspect is what the Cougar Town producers did.

Older women don't chase younger men, John. They just happen to be caught by younger men. Many years ago I remember someone googling "gangsters" and coming up with Cougartown gangsters such as the B-girls and V-girls!! We'll make it to the top of the google search again, I'm sure.

Side note, there have been many past postings here about Napa wine tours, if you have had a wonderful Napa tour experience please email me directly with your suggestions as I'm planning a January trip. Southwest still has $25 one-way tix to Oakland and hey, I would be thrilled to have about 50 Cougars come along for the trip! SWA promotion ends tomorrow so hop on!

Message: John, when one puts Cougartown in a search engine the first thing that comes up is ABC's program Cougar Town. The program's web address is www.cougartown.tv all one url. They are not breaking any trademark infringemet that I can think of. Although I am not an intellectual property (IP) attorney, I worked for many years as a legal secretary to a large IP firm. There is more than likely no way a reasonable person would confuse the two sites. However, if there are any 30 something guys that do, my phone number is 562-........! Sorry, John I just couldn't resist.

Message: Please forgive me if this question has already been asked and answered on Feedback.......but does anyone know how this season's two shows "Cougar Town" and "Hawthorne" came up with the names for these programs? It seems like quite a coincidence that both shows should show up in the same season. John, shouldn't you be given some of the credit for the Cougar town name? The show is now even having "offspring" events using the Cougar town name. Just curious.

He was working as a barber in Oildale, Cal. which is in the Bakersfield, Cal. area. He told me then, that he didn't have a computer. The last I heard he still should be in the Bakersfield area. I hope this can be of some help for Peter.

Message: Eric ? Thanks for the retro mental hernia- all those radio D.J.?s- Losing old Soupy Sales last week, he started off as a D.J.- I certainly wish to promote a feeling of inspiration whenever I post a message on Cougartown- There are lots of wonderful things to share with our fellow Cougs - John thanks for the Hudson & Landry connection in the dancing juke box. Hudson also was the crazy lunatic in the old novelty song - Their Coming To Take Me Away Ha-Ha. My Dad, (our Dad) was a WW2 Armed Services Radio Disc Jockey (US Army) in Alaska. He had a very late night Jazz Music Show 12 till 4am or 10pm -2 am ? out of Dutch Harbor it was called-Jumping Off To Dream Land with Bob Larson. When I worked at the local AM station here in Crestview in 1987 I uncovered an old 78 record of the same name ?Jumping Off To Dream Land? WOW it was great to listen to the old Jazz tune which inspired the name for Dad?s Show! And yes it was the song he used nightly as his ?bumper?-Until then I had no idea there was a song with the same name- Thanks for the Memories-
