Message: i absolutely agree with everyone! our reunion was the best ever!!! ed & i brought beach chairs but i never sat down!! i started taking pictures of everyone important to me...then the margaritas evidently distracted me cause i missed a bunch...i hope marna got everyone then..i haven't looked yet...loved talking with all of you who i've loved since kindergarten plus my best friends thru HS.!! got home @ 1am...and was a little listless playing with grandsons the next day...must be getting old...

My husband had brain surgery and was down for several weeks before leaving the hospital. I guess the saying you can't keep a good man down is true. Hope you get well very, very soon.

Message: I went to the 1979-1980 reunion at Gladstones in Long Beach!!! I have never been to any of my reunions and it was an amazing experience!!! I had a wonderful time!!! I had the money for the 30th, but could not because of family health problems, now 10 years later, not much family and limited on money. Message: Truly, truly, the best reunion I have attended and I have attended every one of them since we graduated in 1969. When I had my third brain surgery on Monday and the Doctor told me on Tuesday that I would be in the hospital for two more weeks, I told him, "No I won't, I have my 40th high school reunion this Saturday." He said, "you'll go to the next one." I replied, "Can you guarantee I'll make the next one?" He reluctantly released me on Thursday. But even if he hadn't, I would have escaped and been there. It was so perfect in so many ways. Our committee went beyond any expectation and pulled off a masterpiece. Thank you all committee members. And finally, to my classmates...what can I say? You treated me like I was some sort of celebrity. I have never had my picture taken so much. I will never ever forget that night...never! Thank you, each and all of you. What a wonderful and caring group of individuals. I am still smiling. Of course there were certain people who were especially kind and I hope you know who you are. I would gladly name you here, but if I forgot just one of you I would be miserable. Thank you again all Cougars from all classes. Love you people, John T. Crotty

Message: Had a fun time celebrating the baptism of Willy Montero's ('78) son's baptism last Sunday. Saw the usual crowd of siblings; Jim ('73), Mike ('74), Dan ('80) and Val ('83), but also saw a couple of Cougars I hadn't seen for a while, Jeff ('80) and Chris ('81) Tully. We were talking about Cougartown and I was wondering if at the class reunions there is a table top display promoting it so that more people would be aware of all the cool stuff on it and be able to keep in touch with HHS happenings a little easier. Looking forward to the future OC Cougars get together.

There?s a wonderful non-profit organization headed by our very own Faelin Klein (?75). The same girl who gave her yells to HHS is now giving her heart to kids with and without disabilities. Just visit www.sunshinekidsclub.org and you?ll see for yourself what a great program this is. Anyway, Nike is investing $650,000 into various community programs and with the federal and state budget cuts running amuck, the SKC needs your vote now! It takes like 2 minutes to vote and every vote is important! All you need to do is go to www.nikebackyourblock.com , find the Sunshine Kids Club, type in your email address (to verify your vote), click on ?Vote Now? and verify the return email?that?s it! And for those who would like to help even more, you can vote each day. I mean if we can get Milk Bone to look at Zach the Lap Dog, I?m sure we can get Nike to help these kids! Thank you.

Message: Hello to all the attendants at the Class of 79-80 30 year reunion! I just wanted to thank you all personally (Maggie, Don, Tom, Rhonda, Leslie, Marla, Kimn and Liz (1979) and Derek, Craig and Denean (1980) committee members for such a wonderful job at planning our reunion. Chuck and I had a wonderful time (although our hearing must be getting bad because it was hard to hear all of you). The food was good and seeing all of you made for a memorable evening. I must say that we all look just as good as we did in high school, and some of you out there have aged to perfection, (you guys know who you are). Leslie, it was great to see you again, although you didn't remember calling me squid...lol. Betty and Ann, we had such a good time reminiscing about all the fun we had together. Chuck and I want to thank you and your husbands for the wonderful time after the reunion at the hotel bar. We can't thank you enough. Denean and Derek, it is always a pleasure seeing you both and thanks again. Kim, it was great seeing you also...we spent many years in the water together. You looked great. To those of you not mentioned here, it is always good to see the people you spent four years together trying to get through high school. I can't wait till the next time that we can get together again. Counting down the time till then. And Derek, Denean, and Craig, I would love to be on the next reunion committee. The beach was very casual and everyone seemed to really like that. It was nice visiting with all my friends. John Crotty my prayers are with you for a full recovery. Message: Nice job on the reunion !!! Loved it so much you can put my name on the committee for the next one. Good food, good drinks, good music, super weather and especially great company. I haven't done that much hugging and kissing in the last 20 years! I worked the crowd as well as I could yet there were several of you I missed. Stayed sober all night long so that I could remember as much as I could. There was joy in my heart, some sadness for those that passed away and totally inspired when I saw John and his sister walk in. I feel sad for those that didn't make it. It was awesome to have had my inner mind sparked and refreshed from the days of my past. We all have to move on one day, however this part of the journey was a great stop on the way. God bless ya all. And thanks again to the committee.
