Close enough Jim, You are our BIG WINNER!! Yes, an all expense paid trip (by Jerry) to the NORCAL Reunion. You will fly third class on Vino Airs Piper Cub. On Vino Air there is never a charge for baggage because they just don't have room for it. Yes, you'll fly to a fairly flat dirt road close to downtown Firebrick which is just a short hike to Ione. From there you'll hitchhike on into Fair Oaks and enjoy the weekend. Have a fun time Jim and congratulations on winning our contest.

WRONG, Jerry's answer is 20004 for number 3. Jerry, I think you may be on "Sacto Snow" on that one.

Message: Here's a deal for everyone....when you buy your fireworks from the Hawthorne VFW, located in the Albertson's parking lot, Hawthorne and El Segundo Blvds, June 28 thru July 4, mention this combination of words to receive a ten-percent discount: JOHN BAKER AND COUGARTOWN. Real simple to say and you save a few dollars. Call the Post at 310-679-7472 for hours of operation or email me. Hope to see many of you in a few weeks. Jan P.S...Judy thought the school motto was 'don't eat yellow snow.' Do you think some school in Minnesota may have used that, as well?
Yes that is Eskimo High in Homer, AK motto, Jan. . . And have to say I'm honored to be your discount password. So are you still going to be selling M80s out of the back of Judy's Studebaker pickup this year?

Message: Heck, we did the school motto back in ’05 and Jim Peppers got it then too…haha. How about some harder stuff to really exercise your brain?
There that ought to keep you busy for a while.
OK I'm confused, How many students enrolled in the mid 60s. Does that mean 1965, 1964 to 1966 or 1963 to 1967? How many teachers and staff. Do you mean total from 1951 to 2011?

Message: Hey Paco, thank you and Sharon for the congrats and backatcha. I haven't figured out how many days it's been since our wedding, but man it's been a hell of a long time. A lot of folks ask us the secret to our longevity in matrimony and we both have the patented answer, "we never got divorced because neither of us wanted the kids"! A joke of course, but to the young people out there, don't have KIDS until you get married. Thanks for the shout Paco. Thanks JB for all the fun we've had with C-Town over the years. Tell coach Kanach to have those kids turn that SLED OVER!!! Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there who care and are cared about. God bless our troops. MAY THE COUGAR BE WITH YOU!Jake N Jude
Friday will be the 18,262nd day of married bliss. Congratulations Jake and Jude

Message: In regards to the street names changing .. Anyone remember when the street numbers changed? Our old Address, was 527 120 st, and was changed to 4623. Not sure when that was. And also would like to say I'm proud to have helped with the football fund raiser! My hat is off to ya JB and team! GREAT JOB!!
Hey Jim, I think the numbers changed around 63-65. I know my old address, 366 Cedar Ave, hadn't changed while I was still at HHS. Yes the football program was a complete success as far as I'm concerned. Thanks to you and all our Cougar donors for their help. Donations can still be made by clicking on the coaches letter link, above.

Message: I have just heard the news of the fabulous teacher...Mary Lee Ton. Her passing gives me pause. Her life was as a mentor to those aspiring to gain knowledge and use it wisely; to meet and greet everyone with enthusiasm, grace, and genuine care & concern; to inspire and embolden young people to launch out and tread new paths. Yes, she will be missed, however, her life's work is a legacy like the ever expanding ripples from the knowledge she imparted to all her students. We should all be so blessed in this life

Message: Geeeeeze Looooouise... you mean to tell me that it's almost 11:45 pm and no one's donated a penny to the HHS football program today??! Guess I just made it in under the wire.. I'm here to report that the Haw VFW Ladies Auxiliary has donated $256.00 from tonight's raffle. I don't have a back-up plan for tomorrow, so you're on your own. BTW-the raffle was called "Give me your tots - or a ten." For those of you that never heard that phrase before, rent "Napoleon Dynamite." And yes, I did get a few tots too.
Great news Judy, the donations will pick up. Our Cougars are just taking a break. Thanks to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary for their generous donation.
