Tonight in Manhattan Beach I met Paul Abdelmalak(HHS'11), Victor Salus (HHS'11), Elcar Gil(HHS'11), & Jon Apralicio (HHS'10).My first "quadruple" sighting! I had nothing related to Hawthorne on me. A black CIF baseball hat, a Zuma Jay surf shop shirt, and gym shorts. No banners, no bullhorn, no cheerleader outfit! just the gift of gab! Hey Mike Kratz, you should be in my corner! I was like the junior member of your party crew from the early 70s! You, the "Sham"(Gary Shambaugh), "The Mill" (Ray Millman AKA M1 in Cougartown lingo), Robert Reuger & Alan Edholm!

Message: Cougar sighting! Met Roxanne Ibarra (HHS'09) tonight at 24 hour fitness. Pay attention Sloey, this is how it is done.. After coaching high school track for thirty years it is fairly easy to recognize someone who is or was an athlete. I politely asked her if she was an athlete in high school. She said" Yes I was.' I asked her what sport and she said "Soccer". I asked what school she played for. "Hawthorne High" I told her about Cougartown. Hey Kahuna where are those Cougartown cards we discussed recently that I can give to all my sightings? Chalk up another one for the Cougar Stalker!

Message: One of Hawthorne's Best passed away last Saturday night in her 99th year. Mrs. Leona (Lee) Reagan was like a second Mother to me, and a whole host of other kids that hung out with her sons and daughter; Pat, Don, Bob, and Jolene Reagan at 463 Freeman Av. in Hawthorne. You were always welcome to stay for dinner, eat cookies from the cookie jar on the counter in her kitchen, and spend the night if you had permission from your parents. She was one of the sweetest kindest ladies I've ever known. Lee, I will miss you dearly. I know you're happy now, back with Ike. Rest in Peace.
