Message: CAR STORY --- Tim Lutz Has a 55 Chevy. When I totaled my 58 Tim bought the 348 engine from the junk yard and had it installed in his 55. He put a 3/2 set up on it, I think a 4 speed, gears etc. Spent a bunch of money on it. He came over to my house and we tuned it up. Probably a week later he put a rod through the block. Destroyed the engine. I spent the next few weeks "avoiding" Tim.

Message: Wow, thank you, Tim McCandless, for the great memories through pictures of the old farm house. These pictures are bringing back many memories. Although I went to HHS 9th - 12th, I was raised in North Redondo off of Aviation. My father was a member of the Hawthorne VFW and we could pass by the farmhouse on the way to the VFW several times a week. Thank you again for all the Leuzinger memories.

Message: Margie drove our school bus from Juan de Anza to Richard Henry Dana and back. She was the greatest but she didn't put up with a lot of BS. So for at least a few days I was un-invited to ride on her bus. I would walk from Isis and 119th Place to Dana and back. One of my short cuts was through the Leuzinger farm. On the way home I would stop at the Richfield station and get a ice cold soda out of the water cooled machine, rest up and get ready to run from the farmer with rock salt loads in his shotgun.
Hey Jim Clairmont, I never got the chance to clean your slicks before you ran the 1/4 mile but I still think about your '58 Chevy. The paint job on the dash was pretty cool.
