Message: I have a question: Do any of you guys or gals who are into cars or especially trucks know a guy named Mike Sutton? He's probably in his mid-thirties, went to Mayfair High and has customized some beautiful trucks. His trucks have been on the covers of trucker magazines. I need some help from him and I can't figure out how to contact him. Thought that one of you might know him. John Crotty, your candle glows brightly every night buddy.
Hey Ricki, I've never heard of him but I'm sure someone has. Anyone know Mike Sutton?

Message: Is there anyone out there that remembers the gas station where you "dialed" your own octane? The higher the octane, the more the gas cost. Usually pennies. This was only if you were a little short and couldn't afford the Chevron Custom Supreme 102+ octane. You could still run your high compression engine. It was on Imperial between Prairie and Freeman. Also, John, do you remember that guy that worked at Imperial Farms and drove that red '63 Mopar? I wonder what ever happened to him? Nice guy.
Hey Bob, Yes, on both ... Hancock Gas and Dennis Caldwell. Do I win anything? Haven't seen Dennis since HHS days. He was in the class of 62.

Message: I had some of the best times while a student at Hawthorne High! I can't say that the classes were fun but I loved the football games Friday nights and then the dances, Always something fun going on it seemed. I have lost contact with friends through the years and have stayed in contact with many and it never gets old talking about the goings on at Hawthorne High School when we attended. If it wasn't for Hawthorne High I would have never met a super special guy named LaTonio Malama, who I was ga-ga over, then he and I became best friends during our time at Hawthorne and after we left school. Unfortunetly, Tony passed away April 17,2008, I lost contact with Tony after getting married but just recently reconnected with his family who told me of his passing I am thankful for having the pleasure of meeting this awesome man and my high school days were especially blessed because of him. Good times!!
Hi Katherine, It seems that no matter what year we graduated, we all have the same memories. Thanks for yours.

Message: Jake, I'm definitely planning on making the reunion. I was talking about you the other day. I'm still coaching football and we run a no-huddle offense. It has it's advantages (less time for the defense to set up, more plays per game) but there are some draw backs. One being the inability of players to communicate between plays. You tell the story of the Santa Monica game where we switched assigments and Fred Ragatz made a critical first down at the end of the game. However, I remember, earlier in the season, in the Inglewood game, we had run the 88 trap a couple times for good yardage. On the way back to the huddle, you said, "Bobby, if you cut back toward me, I can get that free safety. "Next time we ran the play (it was Chauncey's favorite play) it went for big yardage. I think I told you thanks. If not please accept my graditude 50 years later.
