Message: Hi Jeanne, Yes I certainly do remember not only you but Hector as well, please give him my regards. So you are moving to the Washington area? Its beautiful up there one of my daughters lived there and then in Oregon for awhile but she is back home living with me now. So you have two children, two of them are the ages of 2 of my 4. Are they moving with you to Washington? I have relatives that live in Olympia and it is absolutely beatuiful there. Yes we did have a few classes together, Modern Dance comes to mind but its been so long ago I can't remember exactly. I go by Hawthorne quite often and sometimes the memories are bittersweet, my late husband was from Hawthorne and he passed away at the age of 42 in May of 1994 and so it is very difficult sometimes because so many places bring back so very many memories. I wish you all of the very best in your move to your new home, have a very safe trip and thank you so very much for not only remembering me but for contacting me, all of the very best, Madeline

Message: Herald Ritch died on October 5, 2007. Over 54 years ago, Herald moved to Hawthorne. He became the first president of Aviation Little League and served for years on the board of education for Trinity Lutheran Church School in Hawthorne. All five of his children attended Trinity Lutheran Church School and then Hawthorne High School. The funeral will be at Trinity Lutheran Church on October 10, at 11 am. Since he was a board member at Trinity Lutheran School, his family is requesting that those who wish to do so would give donations to the school in lieu of flowers. We are now divorced after 30+ yrs but good friends. We have a 36 yr old daughter and 33 yr old son, 3 grandkids. I live in San Diego but am soon moving to Seattle, WA. Message: Hi, I'm responding to whoever it was that was kind enough to respond to my e-mail and who knows Darrell Birdsell's sister Cheryl. She lives in the San Fernando Valley I believe. About 5 years ago she invited me to a surprise party for Darrell but I wasn't able to go. Does anyone remember Mark Cordilla, Al Ashton, or Tom Gruden. They were all HHS students graduating in 1969. I've recently spoken to Gloria Serra who also attended Hawthorne High with us. Does anyone know a Nickie Andrade, Debbie St. Aubin, Willie Bogdon, Maurice St. James I believe his name was. Tony Vega and Jeff and Lorraine Glomboski they lived off of Inglewood Ave at about 132nd St? Sharon Herndon and her sister Rhonda? Message: Thanks, JB, for putting the connection to "Arlington" on the site. It gives me the goosebumps everytime I see the video and hear the touching heroe's words. Also thanks for the link to "The Cars We Drove." Some pretty cool old rides there! I was wondering why we don't see the kids of today driving around in older souped-up hot rods. It seems nowadays the kids drive brand new high-powered stock cars. At least the older generations are keeping the hot rods running. They're so much fun to look at and ride around in.

Message: Hi, my name is Madeline Ryan and I went to HHS from 1966 thru 1969...I remember Cathey Scovil, Mary Hamilton, Dennis and Bruce Zumalt, John Gilchrist and I believe his sister's name was Debbie. I remember Vic La Rue and his girlfriend Carol Solowski and his 57 CHevy I believe it was. Terry who lived on 120th street with her mother and Greg Ward who I think lived on 118th or 120th street. Leta Gonzalez was a very good frind of mine. My brother was Bill Ryan and his friends were Jay Brown, Darrell Birdsell. If anyone remembers me I'd love to hear from you, Madeline
