Class: 1971
City & State: Vegas
Message: I would like to thank Ray Millman(71), for inviting me to his home atop Palos Verdes Sunday. I was able to talk more to those who I missed reunion night. We hang out in his back yard for a good part of the day, and for a few of us, we were able to spot the Hawthorne water tower. I couldn't tell if it was the low clouds, smog, or age, as to why it took us so long to find the tower. I am also glad that I was able to hang with Gary Shambaugh(71) and his family over the weekend. They opened their home to me, what a cool family. And for Teri & Kim of the class of 73, I hope you Girls can crash our 40th, you both look great.

It was worth every sore muscle I have. Hal Chauncey, you are GREAT and should take your act on the road. Rumor has it that the class of 73 might be organizing a reunion, if we are, you are ll invited! Thanks again, Teri

Message: JB,??H.B. I know I am repeating everyone but to every ones enjoyment you have to look at it this way?CT has held just about every forum /event/ coaches-teachers funny stories/ best athlete/ hottest car/ best song/ best gag pulled/ best teacher/ best 1st French kiss/ first time I pick up a dime while wearing a mini =-) dress etc. Over the last 10 years and I am sure we have not heard half of it yet.. Mr. Baker I say that you have done things with this CT that brought back memories of a great community and reconnecting everyone in a way that is above & beyond. You have created a beautiful and humble site that we all are proud of while maintaining the spirit of ole Scarlet and Gold as we all (or most of us) remember.
HHS/friends/teachers/everything good and not so good???????. I vote u thee MAN of Spirit HAPPY BIRTHDAY JB Many more happy years to you. Bill
Ahh thanks Bill, and I feel just that way about this group/website. What a great place Hawthorne was to be a kid in (sorry for that sentence Mrs. Mark). Anyway, we have yet to scratch the surface of what Hawthorne meant to us and I'll keep this going for as long as it takes to hear every last story out there. Thanks again Bill, and if it wasn't for this forum, you and I would just be distant grads from the same school. Instead, we are good friends.

Message: I can't let all these friends outdo me with their birthday wishes. I want you to know you are my very best friend and I wish you the very best for another year and always.
Now you can go out tonight but get in early. And while I am here I want to thank those who responded so positively, both on the site and e-mails, to my story on my early life growing up. Since you liked it so much I may give you some more episodes. Remember I always told you to keep your friends. They will mean more than money. You win!
Love You, MOM
Hey Ma, When you used to say "Get In Early" I always thought you meant the NEXT MORNING. Thanks for the BD wishes and by the way, Thanks very much for having me. I love you too....
