Message: As long as the Danny Fix saga has come up again, here's my two cents worth. I'm not a brother in law, but this is what I remember being told by Danny about the Rascals. He told me that he did not work for Hal Roach, who did the Little Rascals series. He DID work for a competitor, Mack Sennet who did the Keystone Cops, and had a competing band of little kids very similar to the Little Rascals. I'd bet a burger my story is the closest to the hole.
That is pretty much exactly what Danny told me about 8 years ago. Thanks Ray for clearing that one up....until next time.

Message: Kudos to Jill, Bud and Wade on another great golf tourney. Westridge Golf Club was a beautiful venue and their staff seemed eager to make our day a good one. Good food afterwards and some really great raffle prizes, especially if you spent next week's paycheck on tickets. For you Cougs who golf and missed this event, be there next year, it's well worth it! Thanks again to you guys for your hard work, but next year scatter a few more birdies out there. Bring your clubs next year JB.
I am seriously thinking about it. I saw a few of you skim the lake on the 18th and I KNOW I can do that. This was a great Ctown event. I know that last year we had a few problems, but this year went like clockwork. Lots of great prizes and just a bunch of great old Cougar buddies. I didn't play this year but still had a great time. Jill, Wade, and Bud, you all worked your butts off for this one and it was excellent. Thanks so much for your efforts. I KNOW next years event will be a block buster. Thanks again to all that played and we'll see you next May at the 5th Annual Ctown Golf Classic.

Message: Dewey what the hell you talking about?! I am here in D.C. and who do you think I run into? Mike Storie. We were just talking about Danny Fix when we punched up Cougartown and the question came up again. Danny Fix told me in high school he was Wheezer [one of several] during the making of the Lil' Rascals of Hal Roach productions. Mike Storie and I have been talking about it as he too was Danny's brother-in-law and Jensea brother. SO yes Danny Fix was a Lil' Rascal. God Bless you Wheezer.
Another Coug sighting? Man, you are on a roll, James..... Actually, Wheezer was played by Bobby Hutchins....

Message: Is it a fact that Danny Fix (Jensea's husband was a little rascal?) I find that a little disheartening as she was born in 1951 and had her child in 1970 (per Dewey's page). If he retired in around 1935 (I realize young) can this be true?
This question has been answered probably 20 times on earlier Feedback pages. I guess we need a "Was Danny Fix a Little Rascal or not" page Dewey, can you help Sue?

Message: Hi John, The Reunion was a definite "Blast to the Past" and all of the Coordinators did an outstanding job of making the Reunion such a success. I heard from several people that they thought it was the best Reunion. Sorry I did not get to come and say hello. I started to several times and got sidetracked. I will be sending in pictures when I get them back. Sonia
Hi Sonia, I agree, Great reunion and I got to meet lots of early Cougars including Leo Peltier, Class of 54....great guy. Thanks for sharing and I'll be looking for your pictures.

Message: ALAS....no winner today......interesting though...they had a "coupe" class, which my car is, and the winner of the "coupe" class was a convertible, even though they had a convertible category...am I wrong to presume those are separate categories, or are they too close to differentiate? I'm relying on all you true car buffs to educate me......thanks
That's strange. I really don't know myself, John. I know your Corvette is a winner though. Wanna trade for a Durango?

Hi Madeleine, Great talking to you on Saturday night. The pictures are pretty much ready to go on Cougartown. Just waiting for Buddy to write a cover letter. Thanks again, very much to all who showed last weekend.

Message: First of all, I would like to say that I wish I could have been there for the reunion. I wondered about the fire, but I see that all was not lost and that you had a wonderful time. A great tribute to your ingenuity and ability to not give up. Speaking of tributes, my brother, Ernie, made the comment to me that he noticed that Dick Dixon had not been on feedback for quite awhile. I just wanted to let you all know that he has been extremely busy and is graduating this week from California State University San Bernardino with his Master's in Sociology. He is an instructor there (in Business Administration) and the Director of the International Motorsports Alliance at the university. Just goes to show that it's never too late for all of us old farts out there. Since he doesn't toot his own horn, I wanted to do it for him. I was, like everyone else, so sorry to see the fire on Catalina, as it is such a beautiful place and I have fond memories there as well. But, it's the people who make the party, not the place.
Thanks Lee Ann, like I said before, it was a great weekend. Good Luck Dick and email us some time.

Message: Just thought I'd relay a little info on the combined reunion Saturday, May 12th. It turned out to be a very special gathering. Buddy did such a great job of re-directing to the Hyatt R. overlooking the harbor - very nice hotel. He made pin on buttons w/ea class's yearbook cover as the background & our Sr. pics on top. Nice idea & turned out well - just in case we'd changed a might too much to recognize on sight (never). The video he showed was outstanding of a collection of old HS pic's from the class of '57/'58. The Beach Boy Band clones were right on the money w/the music and dance floor was full all evening - surprised I didn't see anyone on the tables though! Just MIGHT be a little old for that move. Absolutely great seeing everyone...it will be remembered always.
I agree and thanks Camille for the Feedback. Let's do it AGAIN!!!
