Message: Attention golfers and everyone else. We will be holding a pre-tournament party on Friday night, May 18 at Gaetano's, located at 2731 Pacific Coast Hwy in Torrance. Hope to see everyone there and thanks to Dori Gestone for her hospitality. It's not too late to sign up for the tournament for Saturday. We still have slots open. You don't have to be golfing to go to Gaetano's on Friday night. Where are the lady golfers? We need you!

Message: Some advise and a question; I saw the information on the Santa Monica event and my advise is to hit Chez Jay's Bar and Cafe across the street from the Hotel. This place is amazing and named best neighborhood bar every year by LA Magazine. The question is what happened at the event in Long Beach? Whatever happens in Long Beach stays in Long Beach, or are you all still recovering?
Hi Gary, The reunion in Long Beach was a total and complete success. There will be pictures but I'm waiting on pictures from Rich Sloan (be here tonight) and from Kelly Kappen. I'm all recovered from the weekend but tonight Russ and Judi will be here, so that may change.

Message: Hi all....as Sloey mentioned, the baseball team lost the playoff game friday against Culver City. We were holding our own till the last couple of innings. I must say, the umpiring was absolutely horrible, against both teams!! They kicked our pitcher out in the 7th inning for hitting a batter (said it was intentional)...now, why would one purposely hit a batter with the bases loaded??? Oh well, they should be proud of themselves, they played well this year. Keith: my daughter took alot of pics this season, I'll get her to send some to John for posting.
Thanks Jodi for the update....

Message: Hats off to the Catalina reunion staff for turning this one around. I'm sure it was a night mare. Like your wedding dress not being delivered in time for your wedding. We are so sorry we can't make it to the reunion. We spent our time in Calif. during the winter being snow birds but had to return home the first of April for the winter clean up. YUCK Don't know how winter can make such a mess but it sure is beautiful now. I love the spring time when everything starts budding. No place like Minnesota. Well you all have a great time tonight. It sure would have been great to see all of you again. Get lots of pictures. Donnie Burns keeps us posted on a lot of things that are going on out there. Thanks Donnie and thanks to John for this great sight. Looking forward to hearing about how the Reunion went.
Hi Glenda, Well thanks for adding to our Feedback. It's always nice to hear from our Cougar brethren and what is up with their lives. There will be pictures too, so you can always keep up with your friends right here in Cougartown. Thanks again....

Message: The next HHSAA meeting which was scheduled for next Saturday, May 19, has been delayed due to unexpected circumstances. We have rescheduled for Saturday, September 15, at 10:00 a.m. at HHS. That's TEN A.M. Please mark your calendars and do your best to be there, we hope to have updates on the escrip/Albertsons/Target campaigns and maybe some info about the trophy cases. Please contact Clark Millman '76 if you have agenda items. Thanks!

Message: We are doing GREAT on the Escrip, Albertsons and Target signups, but PLEASE don't stop now- the only way these programs work is to get bunches of people signed up on the program, because the margins are very slim. If you need ANY HELP signing up for any of these let me know. Albertsons in particular is confusing so I've written a step-by-step instruction on how to sign up. Let's have a contest, see which class can get the most number of signups by the end of May. Maybe we can come up with a prize of some sort- maybe a special "brag box" on the feedback page honoring that class? Maybe overstepping myself here, that's really JB's department. The important thing is that WE NEED YOUR HELP! Fella's, if you leave this stuff to your wife, have her email me and I'll set you up myself. It really is FREE money, folks, and the more of us who participate, the more we help HHS!
Thanks Sharon, talk about a GIVER. Now you don't even have to sign up yourself. Sharon will do it for you. Let's keep it going Cougs.....

Hey John, Buddy Youngreen and his crew did an absolute marvelous job of turning this one around, which was a total mess as of yesterday afternoon. I agree, the whole Catalina reunion staff is to be commended for going above and beyond to save this one.

Message: Hey John, Barney here, I saw your posting that the reunion will now be at the Hyatt in Long Beach and we have called CTC to see about our refunds for the Catalina Hotel and Boat ride over there. Do have any idea how many people were supposed to be there? My wife and I came from San Antonio, Texas and this is a big disappointment for everyone I'm sure. We spent the night with Jim and Karen Essner and found out about the fire this morning. By the way, Jim and Karen will now be going with us, since it is now at the Hyatt, will they be able to get tickets at the door? Please let me know. I am using their computer and the email address is: essnergram@cox.net Barney McArdleClass of 1958
Hi Barney, Yes, you can get tickets at the door. Tell Jim, being a Serra grad, he'll have to give me a free haircut too A little over 200 people so far and all your CTC travel plans are refundable.

Message: Great job to the reunion organizers for getting something together so quickly! I'm impressed. Good work. Speaking of reunions, first I want to say Hi to Louise St. George and thank her for lighting a fire under the class of 77. The deadline for tickets at the $85 per person is approaching quickly (May 19th). I can be persuaded, bribed, sweet talked into extending that deadline if I get enough emails asking me to. We want as many people to come. Again, I will work with you to make it happen, but you need to ask me for help. To the 50 year reunion folks, have a great time! If your reunion was held in a paper bag, I know you would have a blast. After all it's not where you have it that's important, it's the people you reconnect with and share memories with. As for Escript, I am asking that the class of 1977 do their part, last I saw we had 3 people signed up for this, surely we can do better! One more thing; the golf tournament is next Saturday, please golfers, send in your fee's and if you haven't signed up yet, and want to play, please email me. We are also getting together next Friday night at Gaetano's and that will start at 6:00. A lot of Cougar happenings going on. Have fun.
Thanks Jill, and yes please Cougs, send your money into these events early.

Message: Thanks for the good wishes on Sunday, I assume that was for me. You can all come to Sloeys' in Solvang but Ernie is the only one home. I don't know if he'll let you into the house or not. But you're welcome to try. We use to have a hidden spare key but someone had to use it and I don't think we have put it back. I think the 3:00 Cougar baseball game at HHS would be a great start for your weekend. Go Cougs!
OK we'll just have to break a window. Let's all meet at HHS this afternoon and cheer the Cougars on to CIF!!
