Message: For those of you that remember going to Inglewood and looking at the Christmas lights, Regent Circle was the place to go. Regent Circle was off Regent Street just North of Market Street. Lights adorned every house, except one and they were a Jewish family. Lee Acker lived on this street and if you remember the program Rin Tin Tin, Lee was the kid on that program. My Aunt Darleen lived on this street and every year during December we made the trek four or five times that month. Those were wonderful times, cruising the ?A? and stopping off at Regent Circle on our way to the Wich Stand.

Message: Jake: De La Salle at 12-0 plays Foothill also 12-0 this weekend for the 4A North Coast CIF championship. So after a down year last year with 4 losses, they are positioned to claim a title again. Let's hope they dont pull a USC and come out flat and out of gas. There are a few of us who have double Pac 10 credentials, so in this year of Stanford disgrace, I have to hail the "gutty lil Bruins" for their classic defensive gem. Anybody know a quality coach for hire to send up to Stanford? Best I have heard is 60 yo Norm Chow, but I dont think QB coaches make best head coaches.

OU threw the football, let me repeat, OU threw the football and BEAT big red!! Can those OU Wide outs and DB's catch? It looked like Marti Gras on defense, "throw me somethin' Husker!!!!" Can't remember the total number of "picks", but it was BEAUTIFUL. Sort of looked like a Heinze Catsup disaster after the game. I have Plane tickets for Phoenix and as a warm up for SD to watch the Golden Bears and their aireal circus pick apart A&M. Cougs have a Merry Christmas I'm off to Breckenridge for a snow boarding Christmas adventure. JB, I can't wait until tomorrow, CT gets better everyday.

Message: Some of you Cougars may be too young to remember these, but what memories they will bring back for those who do. It's a long presentation but try to stick it out to the end. It is worth the time to sit back, relax and let the nostalgia wave wash over you as you watch and listen. Be sure your sound is on. Give yourself a treat. Take time now or later to enjoy this web site to the fullest. Message: hi everyone: this is a heads-up to all Pacific Northwest Cougars, the 2nd annual Nelscott reef tow-in surf contest will start Friday Dec. 8th. Last year was really fun clean conditions, albeit cold, air temps in the low 30's, water temps in the upper 40's. The atmosphere was exactly like when the Redondo Beach breakwater would go off big and every surfer in the South Bay plus others would crowd the vacant lot, now the Chart House, to watch all the pros . I only hope they haven't organized the fun (soul) out of the event. Jim (coach)Schoeder put your students on the short bus and take them on a field (road) trip to Lincoln City. Pick-up Steve Stevenson on the way also grab brother Lyle, slap Lyle if he says he can't. I would also expect Tim & Chris Hood to make the trip. There are alot of Cougs in the Pacfic Northwest so be there or be square! By the way Coach Chauncey, you were definitely right, "dope is for dummies" I must have thought you were kidding. For more info: www.nelscottreef.com. John this is truly a work of love you do here thanks heaps. Mini

Message: Bake I didn't say anything because this is a site about C-Town. I wasn't going to say anything that was off color. sc's colors are off color. Damn it's good to see Baby Blue beat their hinny's again. Long time. But then again sc went through an 8 year drought awhile back. The worm turns. And John, I try not to watch the tragedy's (which are my Bruins on a regular scale). I felt very calm by not watching them. In fact I didn't even know the score of last years game until the pre game this year. OUCH!! Vindication my friend. It happens to all. But go Big BLUE & ORANGE against o.u..We need a prayer here sir. Please. MAY THE COUGAR BE WITH YOU. Jake N Jude.
P.S. UCLA # 1 in BB. No way. Must be buying them players again. Dean did De La Salle win their division of CIF this year?

Message: Thanks Mary Ann and JB. We have a little engine that could in my U.C.L.A. BRUINS. They played HHS football to acheive what they did. Nobody gave them a chance. But, they did what they had to do .Tough "D". Glad the the blood has stopped. Hope it starts again next year, on the other side. As far as our BSU Broncos go, it's still the little engine that could. They face a formidable tradition in the U of O.. Either one. Big Red, U of O. Hey we're over our heads. Only been a 1A program for ten years. This is the same thing as 2004 against L'ville. But it's like HHS. We keep coming. This program is on the rise. We may get our butts kicked again. But BSU is far from done in the college ranks. Some of those good "So Cal" plyers are taking notice of this program being on ESPN 6-7 times a year. Been a good year so far, ( Bruins ranked # 1 in BB again) go figure. Thanks folks, I needed that. How about that Al Geverink? Keith Lent you still breathing? MAY THE COUGAR BE WITH YOU. Jake N Jude.

Message: With all of this talk of Alumni Orgn and imparting wisdom on the youth of today I feel it behooves us all to do our part...for my contribution this past week, while beginning my yearly tradition of playing Christmas music for my 3rd graders, I was delighted to hear the song "Little St. Nick" by our own "Boys"...we had a little teaching moment when I told them the song was indeed about a car and the authors and originators were our own Wilson Brothers. They then joined me in the chorus..Spread a little cheer and history around during the season boys and girls!

Message: Yes, thank you so much UCLA for knocking a SoCal team out of the national title picture, giving fuel to the eastern biased writers and possibly handing a second team from a cupcake conference (The Big 11) a shot at the title instead. (For the record, I was just as disappointed at USC on the several occasions that they did the same thing to the Bruins).

There are 395 (now 396) people that have designated the original Cougartown as their school. With Christmas coming up, I figure I can probably double that amount all by myself!
