Message: Hey Cougs, it was a good show @ Los Alamitos as long as your car didn't overheat while waiting to get in @ 6:30 in the morning. I didn't but a lot of them did, it took almost 40 min. to get parked. Don't think I will go next year, I have been there for the last 3 yrs., it is too big, almost 1,000 cars. Later Don

Message: To all the former Cougars from the classes of 1966 and 1967 Pat Morrow and Judy Storie have a meeting to pay the $1,000 deposit on Tuesday (11/7) for our 40ish year reunion (somebody else would like to book the room for the same day). We have about half of the money -- Judy does have a lot of cousins -- but we are still in need of about $500. If you know you are coming, could you please send the money NOW --$65/person. You'll actually end up saving some money as the price will go up to $75/person in early 2007. Directions on where to send the money is on the Reunions Page. To those of you who have already sent in your money, we are really grateful. We are looking forward to seeing lots of you 66/67'ers on July 2l, 2007. We'll have a great time.

Message: Mrs. Holly. There's a wacky teacher that I remember. I only had her for math. I remember she almost never talked about that, but instead went off on her nutrition bent. As I only had her for one period (such as they were at Intermediate), I didn't get the full glory of the brains experience. Instead, we got the lecture on boiling chicken bones down to feed to our dogs for their health!

Message: Lets try this again. In the Baseball Picture of the H.A.L.L. Yankees the team photo consists of Top Row Noel Hand; Team Father, Wade Greasby, Jim Hansen; Manager, Brian Bianchi, Tony Cairo: Asst. Coach Middle Row Gil Hansen, Frank Vargas, Randy McGee, Ken Cummings, Kevin Hansen Bottom Row Brian Hand, Kirk Greasby Jim Johnson, Gary Teal, Chris Ulrick. The bottom row may be out of order, I'm trying to recall this by memory not looking at the picture. Clark, Tom Deuel could bring the hit when he wanted to. He was and still is a very passive guy!!! A picture of the 1970 Indians of H.A.M.L. needs to be in there too. There are some Cougs who went on to bigger and better things.

Message: I too just watched all three disks on my plasma. I didn't realize I coudl just put them in my DVD player for the TV. So me and my oldest daughter watched it all. UNREAL. Man I swear I missed out big time. I had so much fun recoginizing people. People whose names Ihaven't said in 30 years rolled off my tongue. Amy Jenson, Jasna, John Lydon, Liz Frietag (i love you), Dave Kaintz, Ricky Bainbridge, Albert Delgado, John Butterfield, Carmen Fishler, Gloria V., Sharon B., Dale Craig, Carol Gross, Robert Cobb, Glenn Vickers, Dave Krikac, John Achrem, Kirk Greasby, Beth Treckman, Lee Whitley, Craig Bodkin, Sherry Blackwell is still hot, the Driscoll girl too, and so many others. It was just awesome. You guys are lucky. I am going to try and make it to the 77 reunion. My best buds Morlock and Staffon are going. I also saw Scotty Beers was there. Diane Plinck didn't show. I can't Mr. Key and even Mr. Allen were there. I really liked Mr. Allen. Anyway, great job on everything. The class of 76 really was different. We all stayed so close. It was just a blast watching everyone react. 76 was one of the busiest and best years in history. So many things happened that year. And also mostof us were born in 58' and that too seemed to be a pretty busy year. I was the youngest in our class.

Message: Hey Jeff, I was pleased to no end to read that you still remembered the Loyola game and yes I do remember Ted Hastings monster hit on Fred Brown, Loyolas' all CIF running back. That brings to mind a cougar sighting story that must be told...It was the fall of 1976 and I was a freshman at Occidental College. We were playing Whittier college one saturday night. Keep in mind that this is division 3 ball! A big game, the Oxy Tigers versus the Whittier Poets (Yes I swear they are the poets!) Anyways we scored a touchdown and I was sent in to kick the extra point, the snap was late (where is Dale Halbeck when i needed him!) I decided to pick the ball up and run with it. I went to the right only to face three Whittier defenders. So I did an about face and went the other way only to be met head on by another Whittier guy who knocked me out with the hit. As I came to the guy who hit me was straddled on top of me, he said "Clark are you o.k.?" I said "Who are you?" He said" It's Tom Duel from Hawthorne!" Tom was mvp on the Hawthorne varsity his senior year and was a tough guy. He helped the poor groggy kicker up and I asked if anyone else was at the game. He said Ralph Fallone and Dale Halbeck were in the stands. Finally the ref came over and asked us to pick up the reunion after the game. You never know where you'll bump into a fellow Cougar!

I forgot who filmed that Bad Boy, but hats off to you all. Thank YOU Thank YOU. What a keepsake, and while I am at it, The Reunion Staff knocked it OUT of the ballpark.....On another note, I had the liberty to hear in person the First Lady Laura Bush in Franklin, what an absolute class act, so cordial, so humble, what an real gem. She hung around after her talk and took the time to take pictures and shake hands until everyone in line was happy....Wow. What a school teacher she must have been. God bless the Cougars.....Thanks John for this place.

Message: Thank You Paco for the new photos. Everyone take a look at them. I spent 3 saturdays in Nov 1956 behind HPD station washing and waxing Police cars. (Simonize Paste Wax) Seems I was accused of egging a police car on Halloween. It wasn't Murphs car either. But Murph's message about egging cars did flog my memory. Never egg a police car with two guys that can run faster than you. And to this day the other two Cougars remain unnamed.

Message: Dan, yes Aviation had a few. But Wiseburn just had an unreal number of guys that went on to play pro or major college ball. Colburn, Scott, Lee, Allenson, Staffon, Pomeroy, and others. My brother was a great pitcher and I think he could have made it to pro ball. He had several no-hitters and even a perfect game. He just didn't like baseball that much. And I know if I wasn't such a screw-up I should have played.

Message: Clark, You maybe right!! With Gino, Terry, and Kenny not to leave out a number of Cougars from yester years, we may have to go out there and put some points on the board. I received some smack talk about HHS's performance of this year, but I know there is going to be some payback coming. If we only played one series, we'd score!!! The rules have changed a bit since our days, but I'm still confident in the abilities of former players from back in the day that they would score. Cougar pride lives on in all of us!!!
