Message: John Kindseth is alive and well. Six children from ages 30 to 45. I have been holed up in Lodi for over 25 years and doing just fine. All is well, I do go thru Los Angeles/Hawthorne every two months, but it is at about 30,000 feet. My house was a slum and they bulldozed it and built a ghetto. I spent 35 yrs in the school administration/ principal business etc. Fitzpatrick [English] said I would be in the school business someday, I said never--NEVER! He was right, I guess I lost that bet !.

Re: trophies of any type, including athletics ... the high schools here have lined the walls of the gym with trophy cases, as well as the interior walls of the classroom buildings. Kirk Greasby: I plan on wearing my USC tee shirt and Razorback shaped hat during the game and cheer for both teams. Other than this game, I'm a true UofA 100% fan in all sports! Soooiiiee!!!

Message: Wow....I truly enjoyed seeing the "TRACK RECORDS" board. I remember it being placed on the north side (inside) boys locker room near the Variety lockers entrance. I remember my name was up on that board (however short lived it was) when I tied the 330 low hurdles record in 1979. Looking back at my training with Coach Courtney and his teaching and forms I would of never had placed 1st place in that "Final" event. I was even truly blessed that I placed 4 medals in 4 events the Frosh/soph final meet(1st 330 low hurdles, 1st 44o relay, 3rd 120 low hurdles and 4th 100 yds dash). And to top it all off I got to go on a prom date with Connie Gaston (an upper classman at that) and had a wonderful time. Thank goodness she found CT and we are now reconnected to each other again. Of course she probably remember that night now better than I do. The following year in Track wasn't a happy one for me because we got bumped up in the League and I just didn't so nearly close as well as I did the year before. But, I had my claim to fame with the help of Coach Courtney. I will always cherish that and keep that "HAPPY" part of my life with me. All I can say is..."Thanks Coach!"

Message: I remember the track and field record being in the gum on the south wall above the drinking fountain. Amazing all the records that fell over the years and yet Danny Dye's shotput record still stands from 1962. Even when HHS became a Catholic high school in the 80's and went on a successful national recruiting campaign. I guess Kyle couldn't find anyone as good as Danny. As an aside, the only reason he doesn't hold the frosh/soph record is he was always throwing on the varsity. Of course that is speculation but I bet it's true.

Message: O.k. all you Cougars out there, I spent two hours at good old HHS today plowing through the rafters of the maintenance building. All trophies from Nyman hall and pictures of all ASB presidents were stashed up there. I was searching for the old varsity track record board from the boys locker room. Never found the record board but I took all the trophies I could jam in my car. I'll clean them up and bring them to the next cruise night so everyone who helped to win them can take one home rather than let them get dirty and rot in the rafters of the maintenance shed. Met with the principal, Joy Bramlette and she likes the idea of rebuilding Senior Square (My kind of gal!) When I identify the boxes of pictures I snagged I'll put it on Cougartown for people to retrieve. I also snagged one of the old classroom desks so yes Dave Kricak, Clark has more junk for the next reunion and it's only ten years away! I think Sharon Bierman slipped some "Cougar juice" into my drinks last Saturday at the reunion because I've had HHS on the brain for days now!

Message: My computer has been down and I was on vacation for a few days and I missed feedback on Disneyland. If you can stand it, I'd like to add one more little story. Class of'62 Senior Ditch Day at Disneyland. My friend Sheila Toney (where the heck are you, Sheila) and I were very busy picking up guys on the other end of the park when all the buses left. WE WERE LEFT BEHIND!! Disneyland had a limo waiting to take us back to the school. Well, to make a long story short, we had to go see Ms. Selz on Monday morning. Needless to say she was not too happy with us. I have a question for the class of '06..........We used to cruise Hawthorne Blvd. from A&W to the Wichstand. Back and forth. Do you guys still cruise? If not, what do you do? One more thing, THANKS JOHN A MILLION TIMES.

Message: Excuse me. I'll have to sit on the 50 yard line on this one. Dad raised me on USC football. I'm a Razorback convert. Plus, this' going to be ANOTHER rebuilding year for Coach Nutt!!! I can call the Hogs, while singing the Trojan fight song??? My previous message was messed up ... The local Campbell Family Band and Glen himself perform here Friday night. Ten bucks, bring your lawn chair and free parking. Can't beat that. However, better than all this ... Friday Night Football begins the first. High School sports here really give you that Hometown Feeling. Almost as good as that Cougar Feeling, huh?

Message: Just had a terrific phone call from Dennis Campbell '61! We talk GOOD. lawnchair and free parking concert here Friday night, but he did mention trying to persuade JB and Paco into coming back for the upcoming USC-Arkansas football game. Jim Sloey could come, too, but he'd need to sit on the UofA side just to witness the Razorback experience. I also want to say how happy I am for the 76'ers and their awesome reunion. '62's next and, they, too, will create more memories. This website, JB, has done SO MUCH GOOD and touched so many lives. High schools here are setting up alumni websites and I tell them to check out Cougartown - they're very much impressed, as small towners think big city people have no feelings and are too urban to "look back." I truly hope more and more alumni from the 70's, 80's and 90's begin contributing to Feedback and attending the picnic, golf tourneys, etc. and, of course, their reunions. For me, Cougartown contributes to my quality of life and I'll always be grateful for that. 'Night, y'all!

Message: I just want to say thank you to the entire Reunion Committee for doing such a great job on the class of 76, 30 year Reunion this past weekend. They picked a great facility ( The Ayers Hotel ) and put together a great party all around. What can you say about Dave Krikac. Him and his wife put down the banjo's, and made it back to town all the way from Tennesee! He also served as Host, and navigated the waters as if he was born to do it. My vote is for Dave to Host the next Academy Awards. You kicked ass buddy! Is it ok to say ass on Cougartown right? I can't single out everybody on the committee, but you have to give a shout out to Big John Achrem! Great to see you bro, and great job on the audio visual presentation covering memories from our freshman year forward to present day. It was especially moving and in many cases for me, surprising, to see how many of our fellow classmates have passed on. John paid them all a really nice tribute in his photo montage. Great job Bro! All of the speakers made concise and entertaining comments. I especially enjoyed Mike Rice's spin on Crosby Stills Nash & Young's "Teach Your Children" and the wisdom his daughters passed on to him to share with his classmates, about not being afraid to let them live their lives and learn through their own mistakes. And finally to the Hostess with the mostest. Sharon Branigan Bierman, man, what a great job you did. I know you had help, and thanks to all who made this happen, but like Dave said, you brought this thing home girl friend! You are the reason that there is still a class of 76 as far as I'm concerned. I want to thank you, and everybody who had a hand is this reunion for allowing me to throw a hug on my old friends. More good memories to take my way. And though there may have been a few more gray hairs, and bald heads ( mine included ) than there were 10 years ago, I still think 76 rules, and you rock Sharon!
