While we were over there, we ran into Louie Marotta HHS63. He said he's lived on that street since HHS, and used to live across the street from the Wilsons. The other end of the street, where the Wilson's lived, has been taken by the 105 freeway.

What happened to the girl I knew in college who could party till dawn while babysitting two sisters??....And wasnt it you, that taught me that "Friends dont let friends go home with ugly girls " as you held me back and booted some flatlander out the door of a party one night?? Tell hubby to take you dancing or try bingo to start...Get that Cougar spirit back!!... John I had 120th to El Segundo Blvd blocked off for cruise night drags. But when Effler and Escalante heard you had a Dodge, they backed out stating a tow service would be a bit much to ask for...maybe at 200 pages? ...:o)..Hey it is good to see my friends from 61' boarding this ship. A few pages ago someone mentioned that they (Class of 61') had the only class rings that were reversible. Wasnt that a HHS staff decision as to keep that class from being more confused than it already was? Just kidding!!! (I dont mind the E-mail but a Hawthorne to Eugene missile would smart) later Cougs :o)
If a Dodge is good enough for Al Bundy, it's good enough for me.Later Robin and thanks....

I also recognize Cougars Mark Farnsworth (5th from left top row), Tracy

John, I'm getting nervous about Foster's. Teachers can't afford to be jailed. Is everything gonna be okay? Sounds like a real kick in the pants. Fosters should be proud.
TEACHERS CAN'T AFFORD TO BE JAILED!!!! How about poor little old me??!! I see once again, a Valencia is purely thinking about their own welfare. No problem Ricki. We'll park YOUR car real close to the exit, so when the cops do show up, you, Jim, and Sammy can make a break for it.
Actually I took a ride down there today with my good friend and classmate, Cheryl Christensen Nicocia, and it seems to be large enough for us. We also went by the HPD and let them know that we'd be there and they didn't seem to think it was a problem. Now if I can just make the Korean family that owns the place understand what we're doing. Message: Remember St. Christopher medals? It was a curious "surfer" thing that went on back in the 60's. Perhaps it was started by the many many folks who went to St. Joseph's. If some guy gave you his "Christopher" you were officially dating. It was probably a substitute for a class ring - especially if you were too young to have a class ring yet. They were usually silver with a bright enamel colored center; blue, red, gold, green. My favorite were the blue ones.
Shortly after I began dating Bradley, just a few years ago, he asked me to wear his blue "Christopher". I was touched. I was impressed. Then he explained that this was really his actual Christopher medal from when he was in Junior High.
I'm probably different from most people, but wearing his Christopher means more to me than any diamond ring he could ever buy me. It's something from our shared past that we both value. I wear it almost every day. It's practically the only necklace I wear. Oh, he did come around later with a ring, and I wear it, but the Christopher medal is the thing that reminds me "we're goin' steady".
If any of you have forgotten what they look like, I'll have mine on when I show up at the Fosters Cruise Night. See ya there!

I have been trying to add up the cars and people who will be attending the cruise night. John has a list of 62 then your 8 and I sure that with all of the work that Susan Ciampa has been doing on the west side we should have about 100 people. Now we need to add the 100 or so that see that many cars at the Fosters and think they are giving away free ice cream or something. John I think you should get Hawthorne Blvd blocked off from 118th to 120th. We might want to ask Mike Effler to the cruise night just for traffic control. Message: I was with Janet A. and Garnett P. on the dates and times that were stated and would like to add a little more to JB's comment. It is about the Memories and the Spirit that tie the Cougs together John. Your spirit and dedication to this site has enabled the HHSers of this planet to search, find, and reconnect the days gone bye. As in sports, the older you get, the better you were. As in Cougartown.com you take your chances everytime you appear on this site, but what the heck.. John I think your #'s for F.F. Cruise night is low I think Dale Hahlbeck is right that Fosters will be full, We need to coordinate with Captain Mike Effler and LT. Mark Escalante :0)on crowd control, maybe escort for the cruise, good idea, Hey Chris Prewitt run the #'s if John says 62 people and I'll have another 7 or 8 in my car and I have not signed on yet what is the variance to the means?? how many people are we off? To hear El Rojo account of the past football years is nothing less than a blast, even though he may have renamed the whole LB Poly team, it does not matter, its the spirit, (congrats to you and your wife 38 yrs) and Robin to hear your accounts of falling trying to get your Univ. of Oregon's underwear off after reading a recollection of Thursday green/yellow queer day, man that made me laugh to no end. And Talking of SPIRIT I just have to bring up LEEROY whats his name? Dale I did hear it was you but again it doesn't matter, Leeroy is tring to get COUGS together.Thats beautiful man! by him starting all these contest, and getting people to write in, pg. 100 will be reached in my life time, maybe yours too R.Hanson'56. SO I say that the pages that deal with Leeroy are not JUST about Leeroy but are a collection of feelings thats tring to get people in touch with each other and get them together and therefore must stay and be counted.Whats your opinion??? FYI JB I tried to print page #82 on the Coug.com and it equalled 14 pages. which means 1148 pages have been writen to the Feedback page, an AWESOME #, HUH
Thanks Bill, I agree totally with all you've said here. Actually by my count, we've had 1710 entries to Feedback since December 1, 1998 or about 8 per day. Thank you all for being out there (yes, you too LeeRoy) and let's keep it going. I am seriously worried about Fosters night though. I don't know if that back lot will hold 40 cars. Ahhh let's give it a shot!!!
