Message: Don D....Great link to the Wikipedia Hawthorne site. A subsequent link too me to the HHS homepage where in the photos section, I saw shots of the campus I haven't
seen in almost 33 years! Some of the rooms haven't changed much if at all and it brought back feelings and memories I would have never thought of on my own. Very Cool!
I also want to mention to the folks that regularly post here, that I've read your posts for quite some time now and enjoy hearing almost everything everyone has to say. As Haytowners, it seems we all share a kinship in spirit and I'm glad to be a part of such a terrific alumni.

Message: JB, maybe you should rename this website to "Keithtown" Just kidding Keith, your stories are great and your accomplishments are impressive, keep em coming. However, on to another subject. Golf Tournament. Bud and Wade work very hard to put this thing together each year to ensure that all have a good time. Each year this tournament gets better and better! I want to encourage anyone who could hit a ball to sign up. All the money paid does go towards the tournament and Bud & Wade do not make a dime off it. WOMEN golfers needed. I've already signed up! Hey Dan, I agree with Sue, you are a nice looking man, nothing wrong with the way you have aged! Have a great weekend everyone.

Message: No I went to school and lived around the corner from Sharon. Thanks Dan. I do feel lucky I haven't to much. Not one wrinkle yet. Have a little gray hair but I shave my head every couple months so it doesn't matter. My moustache has gray. I have unofficially named this page Keith's page since so many of my fellow cougars mentioned my name. And my dad even came on here to talk about me and the Pope. The guy in the white coat was my doctor.
To save allot of time go visit my new website for my clothing line called
Muscle Mafia. There is my bio on there with about 50 pictures, video and magazine article. Yes another self promotion but targeted to get even more people to the site. Sign my guestbook. Some pics of me and the family too. Can't wait for cruise night. I better hurry and get in better shape though. My so-called bodybuilder body is far gone.

Message: Hey Keith, From one of the many old timers out here (1962), who have had no life experiences to expound upon and/or stories to tell of growing up in Hawthorne. I say, keep the stories coming and pay no attention to these naysayers, your tales of personal feats & experiences bring back a lot of good memories of long ago. I also feel that you would have made an excellent police officer, if you would have chosen that career path. It is obvious and apparent, and has been scientifically proven, that over time the thought process embellishes memories and stories. Keith, keep up the good work and remember what Forrest Gump said, "Stupid is as Stupid Does". May good Hawthorne memories live forever in all HHS alumni hearts and minds.

Message: Dear John Zit butt. Brudder Bill and I had a game we played when we were younger called 3rd and 1, we'd like to invite you to play. You get the ball and try to run through us; we'll find that zit! As for Keith I got my head stuck in the bike rack under the ocean floor Jones, I don't get why everybody keeps thinking he makes this stuff up. When I was in Rome a few years ago, I went to the Vatican for the 2:00 blessing of all the folks out on the grounds. There must have been 2,000 people waiting for his excellency when out on the balcony came 2 figures. A buzz went up in the crowd all seeming to ask the same question in many different languages and dialects, "WHO IS THAT GUY IN THE WHITE WITH KEITH?" I never did find out but Keith has pictures!

Speaking of Cruise Night, it is my sad duty to report that my mother in law (who came to the last Cruise Night I attended to help me with the bevy of beauties and ended up in some of those CT photos!) passed away yesterday. She was an energetic woman, full of life and love for those kids and we will miss her. I'll see what I can do about 3/25 -- Layla is such a kick now! And Aja is such a young lady!!

Message: Well, I've got to get on this bandwagon. While you all brag about going to the same high school as the Beach Boys and Mrs. George Harrison, I went to the same high school and was in the same class with KEITH JONES! I know him personally! (okay, I know OF him, and I sort of kind of went out with his friend once and he sort of kind of went out with my friend.) Anyway, I do know Keith, he lived right around the corner from me, and right next door to my friend Linda. Everything he says is true. Keith does not make this stuff up, I swear. AND he has one heck of a sense of humor! Keep the stories coming, Keith, and YES, there is a Cruise Night on the Sunday after our reunion, in OUR honor, so count on being there!

Message: Wade I would love to play in the Golf tourney, but right now I am planning on coming there end of July for a BB show in Vegas and then stick around till my reunion on August 19. I'll be going back and forth from Palm Springs, to Vegas to LA in that time. Hopefully we will have a cruise night too while I'm there at Fosters. I love that place.
If Ernie Castro came in here he would tell you about the times I would catch barehanded. The guys would throw the balls as hard as they could and I would catch as many as I could barehanded. Also, I caught one pitch not wearing any gear. No mask, shin guards or chest protector. I was so scared. I could only do it once. I was afraid the guy would have foul tipped it. I got hit in the throat once from a foul ball and went to the ground barely breathing. Coach Minami came out laughing thinking I was joking and finally relaized I was really hurt.
Sorry I just reread my message and I talked about me again. Sorry everyone but I was on a roll. Had some fun time playing baseball at HHS. I wish they still had the Alumni game.

Message: I recall many Keith Jones feats as well. He was a star among a crop of very good HHS baseball players in that era -- circa 1976. Wes Clements, Tracy Turner, and of course the immortal Staffon. As impressive as Keith's accomplishments were, I'm blown away at what the guy looks like now. While the rest of us deterioate into oblivion, this guy looks like Ahnold without the accent. As I've said before, between looking at Keith and EJ Curse, the guilt continues to pile on about "letting one's self go"

Message: Keith, I recall some of the pictures and accomplishments you have been talking about. We were at an alumni baseball game. I came up to hit and you were catching, barefooted, no chest protector, shin guards or cup. Just a t-shirt, trunks, mask and glove. I hit the first pitch I saw out to about short stop on the freshman field and you said you could hit it that far blind folded. When you came up, you didn't have a blind fold, but you hit the first pitch into the train tracks over the tennis courts. A blast of 450'. Minami, with his "Geezzzz Keith, said it was the furthest ball he'd seen hit out of HHS's field. I also remember you had brought pictures of you and Sly Stallone, when you were filming the arm wrestling movie, signed by him. I've known you for some time now and have seen you do some pretty incredible stuff with people of all professions. Keep it up. I'll see you in Kona sometime in 2007. Aloha Maybe you could make it to the golf tourney in May? JB the info is coming.

Our own Jim Villanueva, class of '76, is at this very moment sitting at Carlos Santana's table at a benefit dinner! He has known him for years and was still as excited as a kid when he got the invite. He would never write in and tell that story so I'm doing it for him since I think it's pretty dang cool! And PS and by the way, he's the one who produced the KLOS Rockline show that I mentioned in an earlier post since nobody wanted to play my trivia game... but it's okay, I'm over it. You really are my favorite though okay? Although the Sloey brothers are pretty cool too.
