Message: I also once had a so-called representation of impotence and effluents - but I recovered in the end. What was that about money, fame, nice ego-strokes, but mean little character development? A good description of most rock stars and actors. Bank of America horror story: I was in the North Long Beach branch when it was robbed by three very felonious looking gentlemen and stayed constipated for a week. I recovered from that too in the end. Hey Keith. It's cool man. I like your stories.

Message: Well I unfortunately started this, so please let me stop this right here. Keith, I personally and publicly apologize to you, and I am sorry that what I meant as humor, was taken in offense.
p.s. as to the dull and boring life, I wish. It is heck growing old in a battered up body that fun and an experience when we did it.

Message: Easy Keith, all in good fun, I don't think anyone's out to get you or defamate your character. Many great lives here and many great stories, all important, and too, times change, so what were accomplishments then might not be now. Much like status symbols, cell phones are the rage, a so-called representation of importance and affluency, in the end, it's just a phone, capise. What makes us great is what we have to offer to mankind, nothing more. Money, fame, etc, nice ego-strokes, but mean little in character developement.

Message: Does anyone else (besides me) have horror stories about using Bank of America for a mortgage loan? We were supposed to close yesterday and even that is past the 30 days they promised! We haven't closed yet. I'd love to hear them before I write my letter so email me if you don't mind. Now I'm going to stop making my mad face and get in a better mood. And Keith I don't think anyone has any hurtful intentions when they tease. It's just hard to see the teasing when it's just text. We humans have a tendency to be defensive first instead of looking for the humor first. That's the one downside of text communication. You have to be extra careful in the words you use and the way you use them. If you guys were all sitting around the bar giving each other a hard time like this the tone of voice would clarify the meaning and intention. And even if they WERE doubting you or trying to call a BS, HEARing it instead of reading it would still make it easier to take and you'd just flip it right back at them and not take offense. Guys are known for giving each other crap anyway no matter what the subject is! It's actually kind of fun to watch because guys are so much better at getting over it than most girls! Like me and Bank of America... grrrrrr! Uh oh, my mad face is coming back. Somebody write something funny... quick!
Man, She's full of BULL, if I ever heard it.

Message: KEITH, KEITH, KEITH! I'm sure that your adventures in life are just as important to you as the ones your fellow Cougars have experienced. You must remember that there is a 20 year gap between some of us! What was the ideology in '76, might not have been the thoughts of the 50's or 60's. Be thankful that you are able to converse with such a wide variety of your fellow friends, and give them all a break. Nobody's out to get Keith. Knock the "chip off your shoulder" and make it to "Cruise Night" in March. How's the surf over there?

Message: I don't know if he is boring or not. But, I do know when these people question or doubt the people I know, met, worked or are friends with even if I back it up with pictures and factual stories then yes I would have to say they lead a boring life to waste time trying to make it look like I am lying or making it up. It's funny cause it happens allot cause some of the things i say are hard to believe (even for me), but once people see the pics of the things I am talking about or the articles or videos and see all the pictures on my walls then they feel stupid and embarrased for doubting me. I have said on here numerous times there is no need for me to lie about things. I haven't even met any of you yet. I get nothing out of trying to impress you. I am telling you something that happened in my life, that's all. So, I catch the little innuendos the old timers throw at me like the one Richard just did. You guys know who my uncle was. I don't need to brag about how rich he was or whatever. I love to prove people wrong. It is a passion with me. So I guess this is my retort in Richard's post and explaning to the old timers that some of us had a pretty good life and it's not that hard to believe if you realize that. And I promise, there are way more interesting stories that some of the alumni can tell way more exciting and fun than mine. I just choose to do it. I like it doing it.
Okay that's you lesson for the day. Thank you for you time I'm off to the pool (I swear I'm not making it up)
Keith, No need to verify your life to anyone. We old timers love your stuff.

Message: Happy Birthday to Milagro Velasco (Class of '74) The second of the A's to turn 50. You are truly one of the most influential people in my life. Thanks for taking me under your wing when I transferred from St. Bernard's to Hawthorne. High School would have been a drag without you! Our friendship was the foundation that helped me become the person I am today. It is so wonderful to have fond High School memories because it helps im my role as a mother of a High Schooler now. I was blessed to have you then and blessed to have you now. I can't wait to celebrate!
Happy Birthday, Milagro....

In fact, I'll up the ante: as if anyone cares, whoever gets it first, I'll send them one of my archival photo cd-roms, available nowhere else, value $25, bought by architects and artists around the globe, better?

Message: I wanted to wish my Sister, Val, a Happy Birthday today (class of 75). We were in Hawthorne last week helping Mom clean out her garage for a moving sale and found all kinds of things in boxes that brought back some fun memories. I even found a prom picture of Jim Harris and I. Wow, time flys. One thing that really cracked me up was a signed picture of Beany and Cecil, now THAT was a long time ago.
Happy Bday, Val and keep those memories acomin'.

Message: John, 1st off, if ya think this is outside the scope of coug-town discussion, please just omit it. Since we're playing guessing games and do you remember, I've a riddle. I am starting a new series to DVD of artist and architects from around the world. To kick off the series, I'll be spending the day taping, interviewing, chatting, and discussing the life of one of the most famous, recognized, and decorated architects alive in the country. He was born in 1940, and here's the kicker, he's from (born in) Hawthorne, and went to Inglewood High School. Now resides and works in Fresno. Anyone's guess????
So is the guessing game, "Guess the Architect"?
