Message: Hello Everybody! Yes, Art, Dizzy Lizzy still lives. And John, I know what you mean about those rat b*stards over at the ACLU. The way they go around defending The Bill of Rights and our Constitution even afer our Commander in Chief last month said, "It's just a goddamn piece of paper!". They've got alot of nerve. I don't care what they say. I'm wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and I'm baking Christmas cookies! Well....they aren't actually "Christmas" cookies. They're just cookies. You know, Tollhouse cookies, Mexican Wedding Cookies, Lemon Squares, Pecan Slices, but since I'm baking them at Christmas time and giving them as Christmas gifts I'm calling them Christmas cookies and anybody who doesn't like that can bite me. I'm decorating a Christmas tree too. Yes, I know it's actually a Pagan ritual but who really cares? I'm joining the war against the commercialism of Christmas too. I'm not shopping at Macy's or Nordstroms or any other department store...not because they wish people a Happy Holiday instead of Merry Christmas because frankly I don't care about that. I'm boycotting anyone who sends me a Christmas catalog before December 1st and anyone who advertizes diamond studded Rolex's as "great stocking stuffers" Yep, they can bite me too. Anyway....it's Saturday and I still have clients coming so I have to run....but if anyone wants to buy a massage gift certificate call, 310 849.9617...Ho Ho Ho Dizzy Lizzy
C-c-c-c-c-come in !! (you'd have to remember Henny Youngman)

And John Baker you know how bad I hate to even print the letters of... the team Reggie Bush plays for. He is the most exciting football player I've seen since the 1959 HHS...well never mind. I forgot what I was going to say . But to H**L with the ACLoosers. They stood for a good thing at one time. Congrats Maryann and Right Guard Gary Winfrey from that undefeated "B" team of 1957, on your wedding. We too love the small school atmosphere of state championship games up here in ID. Go Bruins! Beat s.c.! Ah... maybe, I hope.. before I pass.:-)0 MAY THE COUGAR BE WITH YOU! Jake N Jude!

Message: Reading more about the lawsuit; in addition to taking exception to Brian's Smile promoters distributing a free "Best of Beach Boys" cd with a London periodical, some legal analysts are pointing to the fact that Mike's deal, wherein he is able to use the "Beach Boys" name for touring, is coming to an end. They indicate that this move may be some kind of posturing so that Mike can re-up the Beach Boys name use. Interestingly only Brian, Mike, Al and Carl's estate have voting writes. For some unknown reason Dennis' estate is excluded and Johnston has no voting rights since joining the band in '64 replacing the Beach Boys' temporary Brian replacement, Glen Campbell.

Hey Dave, the printed cold word doesn't convey playfulness -- I got your joke and was simply making what I consider to be an interesting observation that as they get "older" (because while they are not "old", no one can debate that they are older than they were in, let's say, '77) the CT women are holding up far better than their male counterparts.

Message: I agree with Dave's and your assessment of Mike Love. I guess he's like most famous people who feel they have to keep their name in front of the public, even at the expense of others. As the old saying in Hollywood goes "I don't care what you say about me, just mention my name" certainly applies to Mike Love. The guy can't be too swift if it took him a year to file a lawsuit against Brian Wilson. Did he just listen to the album? He should have filed a suit against himself for "Shamelessly misrepresenting himself".
All this suing going on and Mike just had this added to the Beach Boys Monument about a month ago.

Message: MERRY CHRISTMAS to all Cougars! And, Season's Greeting to all Cougars! JB nailed it mentioning "the real story of Christmas" and "corporate America lining their pocket books!" Gary and I are looking forward to a very cold, family, fireplace roaring, lots of good food and more homemade presents than bought, etc. this Holiday. Local Christmas parade and Chamber of Commerce tree lighting last night and tomorrow The Dierks Outlaws (Class AA - small schools) and our Nashville Scrappers (Class AAA) play two Little Rock high schools for their state championships. Quite a big deal here - playing at The Rock ... that's War Memorial Stadium where the Razorbacks play ... is a goal for all high school players and coaches in Arkansas. Would like to point out that prayers will be said before and after the games and we dare the ACLU to intrude on home town America!!! PS: We all know what Mike Love is. I tell BB fans here that he's ruining the name. Too bad he can't sing as well as he sues. Al's comeback's gaining attention. How about a Mike Love BOYCOTT??? Love you ESPECIALLY, John!!!
Hey Mary Ann, Thanks for the update, and I think we should all send a Christmas Card to the ACLU. It might act like a silver bullet or a wooden stake....... HEY, a guy can DREAM, right?

Message: JB - I like the BB Christmas card you posted. This is fresh off the AP: LOS ANGELES Nov 4, 2005 ? Mike Love is suing his cousin and former Beach Boys bandmate Brian Wilson, but Love's lawyer hopes the lawsuit won't mar their good vibrations.
Love filed the lawsuit in federal court Thursday accusing Wilson of promoting his 2004 album, "Smile," in a manner that "shamelessly misappropriated Mike Love's songs, likeness and the Beach Boys trademark, as well as the `Smile' album itself."

Thanks Chuck and in my opinion, Brian should sue Love for "shamelessly misrepresenting the Beach Boys."

From these sources of information, it appears that as a general rule the women are holding up FAR BETTER than the men (myself included).
My neighborhood is heavily Jewish. My daughter is a Kindergardner at an LAUSD school that gives days off for Jewish holidays. It's not a PC thing, it's a practical reality reflecting the demographics of this 'hood. And out of respect for my Jewish friends and neighbors, I don't send them "Christmas" cards.

Hey Dan, Good point on the schools. Also when I send out Christmas cards, I don't necessarily know the religion of the recipients. As a Christian, this is my holiday. If I receive a Hanukkah card, no offense taken.
