Message: If any Cougars out there want to donate blood, you can donate to any hospital, not just Red Cross. Infact, when you donate blood or blood products in our local hospitals, the blood stay within our community, not neccessarily true when you donate to Red Cross. But, donating to Red Cross is much much better than not donating at all.
It's true, the supply of blood is once again very low. Wouldn't it be great if every abled Cougar person donate blood or other blood products and say that they heard about the blood drive from Cougartown? Well, I hope everyone who can donate, will donate, and I also wish everyone good health.

Message: I just came back from our first 40th Class Reunion Committee meeting with Barbara Hamilton, Vicki Barath, Linda Huthmaker and Dorothy Johnston. We are looking for a reunion service that will help us with the plans, since we waited a little too long to start the ball rolling. So far the services are requiring 2 or more classes in order to accomodate us. I am putting this up for any '63 alumni out there that are interested in attending a reunion this year, and if you have any ideas. Also to get the word out that we, as a committee, have started things up. Please pass this info along to any '63 Cougars you may know.
OK 63ers, here's your chance to gather together and have one heck of a great time. Let Adrianne know you're out there.

Message: I was waiting for my Brother to tell everyone but he?s busy, very busy spending time with Gary Jr. who was awarded a 30-day leave just before Christmas. The cookies that arrived after he departed Afghanistan were in good hands since he left another soldier in charge of dispensing the love from home. Gary got to spend Christmas with his wife and two kids in Palmdale and now, I believe they are in Nevada visiting Gary Sr.. We are so grateful to everyone for the cookies and prayers, and while we are fortunate to have our ?son? back in the states (possibly for quite a long time) we do not forget the other sons and daughters who are over there or getting ready to deploy.
Thanks to all who participated in the great Cougartown Cookie Fest. Gary Jr. said he was a pretty popular guy when mail arrived.
Coach Hal, best wishes for a speedy recovery. I?m having my fifth back surgery on February 10th and hope to recover just a quickly. You were the topic of discussion at the Nix Family Gathering over the Holidays. Jay and Barbara send their best wishes as well.

Hi Kathleen, Tell Gary Jr. that a few cookies don't come close to what he and the rest are doing for our Country. Get Well Coach......

Message: Hey all, started reading all of feedback from page 1, really got a feeling for the rest of the HHS alumni. The feedback really went thro some ups & downs. Dave Hill, lived across 133rd from Frosties, died around 93-94, Dave was to drunk to drive, so walking the 3 or 4 blocks home, was killed by a hit & run (drunk driver?). Whatever happened to Pudge Smith? He is the one in the 6th grade @ Ramona that gave me the nickname Scarecrow, due to the fact never combed my hair? Over time the name was shortened to Crow.

All reunions are placed on the Reunions page when I hear about them. I usually don't hear anything until the last of February. Actually, your 50th won't be until 2005, but it never hurts to check as there may be a multi-class reunion in the works.
Good Luck

We all knew him differently and many attending only met him AFTER high school. So, your input will be a welcome addition to the celebration of his life. Thanks in advance.

Message: Recipe for New Year: Take twelve fine, full-grown months; see that these are thoroughly free from old memories of bitterness, rancor and hate, cleanse them completely from every clinging spite; pick off all specks of pettiness and littleness; in short, see that these months are freed from all the past—have them fresh and clean as when they first came from the great storehouse of Time. Cut these months into thirty or thirty-one equal parts. Do not attempt to make up the whole batch at one time (so many persons spoil the entire lot this way) but prepare one day at a time. Into each day put equal parts of faith, patience, courage, work (some people omit this ingredient and so spoil the flavor of the rest), hope, fidelity, liberality, kindness, rest (leaving this out is like leaving the oil out of the salad dressing— don’t do it), prayer, meditation, and one well-selected resolution. Put in about one teaspoonful of good spirits, a dash of fun, a pinch of folly, a sprinkling of play, and a heaping cupful of good humor.
HAPPY NEW YEAR COUGARTOWN!

Happy New Year, Cindy
