There's a word out of the past. A vibrator was a device that was a part of your car radio. Without going into much detail, if your vibrator wasn't vibrating, your radio wouldn't work. Thanks Bob.....

Message: Chris,I honestly thought the CD was plenty of prize for such a quick and short notice contest. So I was very surprised to find the Husker season tickets w/ air and accommodations in the mail today. There are some conflicting dates with Duck games ,but I know I will find some non runny nose Cougar who will enjoy them. Also the round trip tickets to Maui are truly over the top, but will fit right into my schedule as I have no school bake sales or neighbors kids T-ball games to interfere...And last but not least, I realize the time and effort some of my competitors spent printing and counting pages (4 days?..DUH:o)...All the more reason Chris to thank you for giving me the closest guess last friday and two guesses to get closer...that really helped...Thanks again and have a wonderful Easter Cougs....:o)PS:..Sloey, I'm really sorry I didn't see you at the reunion..and in that picture with Jardine, was he telling you that California Casual meant sometime within the last two decades?...:o)

Well since I did not have your snail mail address I figured the next best thing was to e-mail it to you. I did one thing better also I sent you the 36 MB file that was on the CD and then I also sent you the 70 MB file of all CT. I did not know which address to send them to so I sent them to both of your addresses. I hope you enjoy!
That oughta clog up the old email box for about a week and a half of download time. Jim, I guess we'll hear from you next month. Enjoy your prize.

Your pictures turned out really great. By the way, thanks to Paco for his information about digital cameras. We really had a great time and look forward to the next cruise nite, except we'll probably be in Washington, so you'll just have to bring it to Spokane!

Hey Man, Thanks for the shout. I liked this cruise night too. I think we'll have a wine country weekend at pickin time this year.

Thanks to everyone who made this possible. Thanks mostly to Mike Shay for reconnecting me with Helen, someone I've missed over the years. Susie

I grew up three houses, on the same side of the street (North) as Stellino's--three houses to be exact. That Market was a major part of my youth! I've was in there a thousand times (at least)--suckers, errands for mom, buying meat (never got sick)! As a kid it seemed like it would last forever. Who knew about such things as "goin' outta business."
I remember flying kites directly over it, with my brother Larry, and dropping water balloons from the kites using Larry Keating's (HHS'61) advanced technology of "balloon bombing." Sometimes, I fear, we missed--Heh, heh.

Also, I couldn't get my brother-Newell Endicott,'63-to go with me, didn't want to go alone, and there was a sigalert on the 405 so I just wimped out. I hope nothing holds me back from the event in August. I did make it to the reunion Saturday, and it was fantastic. Loved seeing everyone. Continued thanks to you, John, and the committees that make these reunions happen.
Hi Maurine, No need to wimp out on Cruise nights as you have lots of friends there. Maybe we'll see you and Newell at the next one. I know we'll see you at the Prom....

Message: Well I think the essence of Hawthorne High School was exemplified by Al Jardine. Be true to your school and your old friends, he truly showed what a genuine person he is, subjecting himself to the Coach's ragging, (and man can he do it!) and being a part of his youth not as a celebrity but as a Cougar, an undersized fullback with a big heart. Hearing some of the stories from King John and then reading Ricki's feedback, it is so obvious why the Beach Boys were so popular, its genuine stuff. Hey, and unlike some other groups that have come from HHS, if People Magazine calls us Al, we'll tell them you're a class act!
Sloey

It sure was embarrassing the other night when everything Al said, you laughed at. You'd have thought Sheckey Greene was at the reunion. Sloey, you were so obsequious I wanted to hurl. As to Stan Loves autograph, No, but I can get you Ricki Valencia's for a dollar.

How about the Toast to Yost wrestlers/scorekeepers reunion. I know you wrestled. So its a natural fit. I hope to see you there, with or without the accordion. Remember, its July 14, 2001 at the Lakes Golf Course Restaurant in El Segundo from 6 to 10 pm. Only $33. I am learning from Judy on how to plug a reunion.
Hey Matt, If it has to do with HHS reunions, PLUG AWAY!! OK all you Yost wrestlers and scorekeepers out there, it's real simple. You show up, pay your 33 dollars and have a great time.
How many times do I have to say this, "Always Show Up At Your Reunions".

Message: Along with everyone, I also would like to thank both the committee that worked so hard to make our reunion the success that it was, and to John Baker for the number of people that would never have heard about it without this website.
My husband Jim and I had a marvelous time. I, as did most of you, rekindled lost friendships and perhaps established new ones. Thank you Al Jardine for taking the time to talk with me and introduce myself to someone whom I've admired for a long time. I know that you are a "Beach Boy" and all of that, but I honestly meant it when I said that I remember you mostly for being a fine athlete and a nice guy. I was the one in your history class at El Camino. Thanks for posing with me too. My students loved the photos, as I knew that they would. They seem to still love the "Beach Boys". I hope that you're there again at Prom night. Robin, it was certainly a pleasure to meet you after all of this time. Sorry that I couldn't see you later for a ride in the Panoz. Next time I'll have to meet Janet. It looks like you two were made for each other.
It was terrific meeting so many of you and especially visiting with Joy, Sharon, Jeanette, Brian and all of you. It was a real kick to see Mrs. Ashby. I always turned my books in on time. Janet, your mom looks great. Patty Adams and Linda Hailey...we've known each other since Eucalyptus. Mary, it was good to see you too. Marion and Ronnie...I see that you'll be at Prom Night. I can hardly wait.
This night must have been great because my husband went into it blindly and he had a wonderful time.
Hasta luego.
Individual Cougs don't realize how THEY contribute to the whole reunion picture. It's especially nice to have Al Jardine come home, but you as a classmate, Coach Plum, or Mrs. Ashby, touch many people too. People who don't show, whether it be classmates, teachers or musicians, not only cheat themselves, but their friends too. Thanks Ricki for being a part of this reunion. I know you made many people smile on Saturday night.

Nothing in the rules about being present at cruise night to be the winner. It took me nearly 4 days to count those pages! And I believe it was an illegal contest too, who is charge of this site anyway? On an equally serious note, really sorry I miss the cruise night, [nothing Baker!] not only to see the usual fine folks, but El Rojo and his wife, Tom 'how much did you make them pay you to wear that sweatshirt' Burroughs the B girls especially mom, my favorite Hood, Marsha, Chicken Fanny, [Baker have you ever bought lunch?] the prom queen, Walter 'play me a song dude' Holt and a wunnerful a wunnerful Wayne Dickey. Wayne did I ever tell you about seeing Sidoti a few years ago? It would take more than a bite today! What a country. Next time I promise...[now Baker]! Pinks?
The only thing I have to say is, if you stopped having kids you wouldn't have ANY excuses. This ones graduating, and that ones got a ballgame, and the other ones getting marr.....OOOPS!! Sorry Colby....it slipped. What the heck boy, I don't blame you much for running off and marrying your shop teacher. Your father saying one thing then coming up with the old "I had a runny nose and couldn't make it" story. I know it embarrasses your whole family kid, so have a good life in Arkansas. I guess it goes back to the Lawyer/Fisherman theory, "If their lips are moving, they're makin' it up". Thanks Sloey for never coming to anything, then chiming in later with "Next Time I Promise".
