Now back to my quest. Judy Wudy Blomsterberg
When it's right, it's easy...
Sounds like a winner to me. Actually if any of you have friends that want to join in the Prom Night fun, you can fill out the form for them, or print it out and let them fill in the blanks. That might make it a little easier. Thanks Judy......

I think I'll do a little shopping myself tomorrow. I'll see you tomorrow night.

Message: Hi everyone long time no post. Sorry to write in with bad news. In reply to the feedback about Mrs. Strahan that Margie posted, she passed away from cancer in April or May of 1999. I also had her as my spanish teacher and remained friends with her until her passing. If it is any comfort she had a very good outlook up until the end and didn't have to suffer for a long time. Her husband is still in South Orange County and dealing with things very well. Well thats all for now. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year in case I don't get a chance to write in any time before.
Thanks Lori, You have a great holiday too.

Message: I am so very very sorry to hear about Mike. He was a very close friend of my brother and dad and me. My dad was his baseball coach in little league a couple of years. He was truly one of the nicest and friendliest people you will ever meet in your life. Like most of us I haven't kept in close contact with many of my old buddies. I think about them alot. My two bestest friends and who I've known since I was 7 years old in Little League is Kurt Morlock and Greg Staffon. I am so lucky that we all still stay in touch. When I read about Mike even though I didn't stay in touch it hit me. I think about some of the times we had. I will miss him not so much for me but for the people who were close and saw and found out WHAT A GUY he is. My feelings go out to those people. Robert Sanchez I'll be here in Vegas as far as I know. Call my cell at 702-278-5897 and we'll get together.

Message: I am surprised and sorrowed to hear of the passing of Mike McClain. I have many fond memories of him and his exploits- putting holes in living room walls; vodka in aquariums (or was it gin?); riding in the "Green Hornet" (it was a CAR, OKAY???) with the top down (THE CARS TOP, MOM, THE CARS TOP!!!); grunion hunting; wild orgies - oops, just kidding mom. Mike was a great guy and a great man and this world is just not going to be the same without him.
Amen to that......

Message: I just received some sad news this morning. The class of 74 has lost one of their most prized people. Mike (Big Mac) McClain passed away Wednesday December 13th. No details were included. The following is the email I received;
John, This is a friend of (Big Mac) Michael E. McClain from Bakersfield. He passed away today 12/13/00 and if you could pass this information on to his friend's and fellow Cougars we would greatly appreciate it.
Friends of Big Mac
PS as soon as we hear of the funeral arrangements we will send them to you so you can notify his friends, or E-mail Teena1bzb@aol.com or Shovelish@aol.com
Big Mac, Thanks for all you did in life to make other people's lives better. Janet and I, along with Harry Plotkin and Kathy Brooks, thoroughly enjoyed the Junior Philharmonic at the Shrine Auditorium last July that you so generously provided. Thanks also for the ten year membership to Cougartown. I just know if you and I had been at HHS at the same time we would've been "joined at the hip" friends.
Most of all, thanks Big Mac for being my friend, albeit for such a short time. I will miss you.

Message: Hello- I have 2 questions:
1) Has anyone heard from Mrs. Vinci Strahan since last Christmas (1999)? She taught Spanish for many years at HHS. I exchanged cards w/her each year, but last year the card was returned to me as undeliverable w/no forwarding address. If anyone has any information on her, I would appreciate it.
2) Does anyone keep in touch w/Fionnula Murray? She graduated from HHS in 1985 and I would love to get in touch with her.
Thanks for taking the time to read through my message.

Message: I'm sorry folks, yesterday I wrote that it was cold in CA. I was wrong. I thought the thing said 51 but it really said 59 and then it turned 60. That is a great temp. Today it is about 24 here with about 6 inches of snow. At least it stopped snowing. Hi to all my pals from 69. I saw Nancy L. and Joe M. on feedback and I will try to write you later but I have to go to work now. You all keep warm and thank you John B. Sorry I don't write in here more. I will try harder. My brother Steve Kristof is still alive and well and I have never known brother Ray Dawson to write in here but he is alive and well too.

Over the years I have been extremely fortunate to still be in contact with many of my life long friends from HHS. In fact I stay in contact with them on a regular basis. Gary Shambaugh, Greg Willis, Dave Sayad, Steve Ohren, Dennis Johnson, Rick Mercurio, Mike Nilsson. The older we get the old stories just keep getting bigger and better. Best to all, hope to return to cougartown.com often.

Message: Howard, ordered my Dell Inspiron on Friday and just got it today. That's pretty fast considering the time of year. Not exactly sure if $2,498 is cheap but it is great laptop. Got all the upgrades. I saw at CompUSA today laptop for around $1,200. I guess it depends on what you use it for. John when I get settled in back in Hawaii I will send you my dues past and present. Sorry I haven't done it ever before but I just forget things. Sorry. And I'm now not leaving till January 3 or 9. It's not cold here in Vegas unless you think in the 50's is cold. Can't wait to get back to the 80's in Hawaii. If you don't have anything to do on New Years they said here they will be putting on a fireworks show that will be far better than last years. All up and down the strip they will be firing off fireworks from 14 different locations on the strip. Should be nice. KDJ
Hey Keith, thanks for the membership. I'll be looking for it.

1. There are a bunch of ex-cougars that reside in Mission Viejo, classes between 60-64.
2. Nobody from the class of 77 has anything to say (how could we, we are still "free as a bird now".
3. John Baker is a Cougar demi-god and is worshiped by all.
All of your followers are grateful to you, this page is a great outlet for us all. Happy Holidays to all you Cougs out there.

Message: I'm slowly working my way thru people on ClassMates (I'm up to 1969). There are several very intresting names there (or else '69 had some real crackups). Anyone in that class remember going to school with Cindy Crawford, Fido Dido or Jack London? Now I've seen where Jack's buried, and I'll admit he was one heck of a writer, but from beyond the grave, now that's pretty remarkable.
With apologies to the real and the living,

I've been in snow country now for 30 years and I STILL cannot adjust to liking COLD. ARGH!! But we do have much less snow to blow, shovel, kick and swear at ... in fact, hardly ever have to shovel. BUT THAT DADGUMMED COLD!!!! Brrrrr!
