Message: Well John.. If your counting add 2 more to the list of lovebirds...I'm not mentioning any names but he is Hmmmmmmm and she is a farm girl now but in her hey day she was a full blown Cougarette! I think she has found herself a cougar to take home to the Prairie. To Gary Lents..Was in your part of the country this week-end, had to visit a friend in Vista. I had never been there but sure thought it was pretty... Elizabeth, In answer to your earlier question "No" it doesn't hurt too much. Wayne might not agree with me but he got a bigger picture. It also depends on where you want to put it. Hey John C. when Wayne FINALLY gets here you're going to have some competition with those C.D's!

Message: Hi everyone!! Anita Young, I didn't know your Meg...but I looked her up in the book! Very pretty! Glad to hear there are fellow "animal people" out there. I never felt I fit in with humans until I attended Grooming School. I found the rest of my "pack"!! I don't want to "hook up" with Meg though...I'll end up with MORE critters! Terrie Kostiszak -- Do you have an older sister named Gina? If so you may have lived on the next block from me on 126th? If Mike Rice is a Lawyer, I'll fall down and scream!! The last time I saw Mike was at a Sunday brunch at Lido's, a little place in Long Beach. We were both three sheets to the wind at about 10am (champagne) and all I remember is sitting in his lap, laughing very hard....and....I think....Micki Reitmeyer's (my best friend STILL) boyfriend carrying me to the car. I'll have to ask Micki what really happened (Like she'd REALLY remember?). Tom Rice is living in Seattle and working for Alaska Airlines (programming). Mike has a LOVELY wife and two offspring. I worked with Tom for a few years at Hughes in Long Beach in the early eighties.

If you can try some wines that are made in Oregon do so, Anita Aceves lives near many wineries here in Oregon!! I suggest trying the newest wine out called Evolution No. 9 made from the famous Sokol Blosser winery here in Oregon that is known for good wine!! Hope you all had a great Easter.

Message: Marlyn, Darlin, My Zorro is flesh and blood and his sword brings me many morning smiles....You see, I too am a lover not a fighter...Get it? As for memories...I was so very young when my mother would walk with me, hand in hand, down 133rd Street to Hawthorne Blvd. On the corner was a chicken farm where she would pick out a fresh (as in still clucking) chicken and would wait while it was killed, cleaned and plucked...Now that's a fresh chicken...Eggs were great too. Goodyear stands in its place...Remember? Love you, The Goddess
I can remember asking my dad what a capon was, as I gazed at a hand painted sign hanging on the side of that building. Thanks Liz

Message: * HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROWDY ANGEL KAREN HARE! *
WARNING~~! Looks like the ROWDYS will be working the CT booth (don't go there John) for the May 20th CAR SHOW at dear ol' H.H.S. We'll be serving our famous instant coffee (placed neatly under the arm for constant & even warming) from 9-11 am.. Look for us in the COUGARTOWN booth. Then it's off to the football field restroom to christen the sinks again. (it's been 37 years since Marsha Russell and I hit that place) Later that day we'll all buzz down to the MINI REUNION in Irvine for BBQ just to prove that the ROWDYS still have it. (hey, $5.00 for BBQ~we're there) FYI, Janny just got the pics back from Wine Country..I'm sure that a few of you would like to purchase the negatives (some ain't pretty) before I go public in Paco's Pics. (video also available) Just email me and I'll quote a price. I even have a few of ROWDY LINDA CHESSEN~B.A. (before accident) Stand tall Linda, not everyone can break their eyeball. (I'm so proud of you) Now I have to get back to the coffee recipe..we're shooting for instant crystals that can double as `pop rocks`. I know John..let me say it for you. "My kinda gals" IOLAPD. Judy DeGrazia THE ROWDYS.

Yes Indeed!!! Connie Jax, I know I haven't sent my 5 dollars yet but I'm gonna be there right after my shift at the coffee booth at the HHS Car Show. 5 dollars for a BBQ folks. I don't know how she does it, but whatever it is, I'm Eatin' It!!! Thanks Judy for volunteering for the coffee booth and NO, you can't soak your corns in the coffee urn, so don't EVEN ask.

Guess what I found on the internet. For those of you who don't know where to find your own personal spud gun - or those of you who may have never even heard of them - check out the following web page and you, too, can order one for your very own!
http://www.mcphee.com/store.html
Once you've made it to this home page, enter Potato Gun in the search box near the bottom and - poof! you're there.
Warning, toys like this can be habit forming, and tend to make you look a little silly, but what's wrong with that?

Message: John, many thanks for this site which is so rich with memories. I shamefully admit that I discovered it earlier on and ever so often I would check to see what's new. When Jack Young inquired about my whereabouts, I decided to stop my "eavesdropping" and become an active participant. I lived close to the corner of 134th Place and Shoup. I guess that would classify me as sort-of an easterner (that is east of the 405). Living close by was my pal Richard DesRoriers. Maybe some of you who lived in that area can remember the bus ride to Anza and the bus driver, Margie. How about your kindergarten teacher (mine was Mrs. Wilson). I remember the walk to Cabrillo, Peter Bennett, and Dana and my first day at HHS. To Liz, I surely remember you and your ex. The last time I saw the both of you was at your house in Lawndale. But, Amarillo? To Keith Jones, I was there when Hawthorne PD caught your brother, Les, riding his Honda 100 in front of your house. I can go on and on. As for me, I married a local girl who moved to Newbury Park in 1964. Her name was Patti Stone and she attended Lutheran School and Hawthorne Elementary. If she had stayed, she would have graduated HHS in 72. We have two boys, 8 and 10 (yes, late parents). I've been in the airline industry for almost 22 years. Fayetteville, Georgia is now home. I guess this post is getting a bit long, so I'll end it in a "Big Hello" to all you Cougars.
Ray
