Did you know our own chorus teacher Mr. Warren -early 50's- wrote the famous jingle "Which Twin has the Toni?" O.K. so maybe most of you are too young to remember but we thought it was pretty cool at the time.

First when I actually took someone out was for Swimming/Water Polo Awards Banquet at Sir George's Smorgasboard with Terene Sether.
Mine was Melanie Mullins, Hawthorne Christian School, 3rd grade. We went to the Plaza and saw 35 cartoons 4 serials, and a movie. I forget what the movie was now, but I think I kissed her on the cheek once.

My mother-in-law is terminally ill with cancer and may go at any time. The contact with old friends and hearing how everyone's lives are going is a nice and welcome distraction to all of this tenseness and sadness in my life right now. My husband is very close with his mom. This is really hard. Hope I've helped you to relive some good times with your old buds, too. If I have, then I feel good. What goes around, comes around.

Karnas ceramics class was the best!!
Does anyone remember the potato salad for .25 at the place on Marine street? Or before there was a bike path or a lifeguard station at two-six..
the Blue Note in El Porto, Orville and Wilburs. Poopdeck, Flagship, Pier 52. The shop in Hermosa called "Elvin Door", they sold clothing on one side and material on the other. How about the cotton shop? Come on Ladies!
Fond memories of Thriftymart parking, Aloha drug.
Off ramp liquor, the DMV...I visit that area now and can't believe what I see. We used to have to go to Del Amo to shop, when Del Amo was only Broadway at one end and Sears at the other...Hey I am on a roll now, huh...
PS Hi Klink family...My mom always said "you should learn to play guitar like Susie, you'll be sorry some day"..She was right..Oh well.

You all talk about 'Pinks' all the time and I can't recall ever, in fact I would venture to say that I have never been there. I do however, on occasion, watch the 'Food Channel Network', and imagine my surprise when on the show 'Good Eats' (I think), they did a spot on 'Pinks'. It was the 'Pinks' in Hollywood. Is this the same one? They went on and on about how great the 'dogs' were and that a lot of movie stars eat there. One of them even had the 'dogs' flown in to another state. Just thought you would like to hear that one. ")

Message: To Gary, The Shellback is the bar across from La Paz, which is actually still here but a restaurant, Sunsets, was built above it. It's not the same but I've been there many times and it's a good group of people. Hibachi is still here, although nobody is sure for how long. They keep threatening to close but it's always busy. Micky's is still here too, and of course the oldest bar in Manhattan is still on Manhattan Ave....remember the name? Not sure if I can spell it...Ercoles? The pier was re-furbished, as was the round house on the end. The Kettle is still the place to go after a night of playing and the fried zucchini is still great. Uncle Bills is still here but most stops have changed....Hennessey's is still very busy..the one in Hermosa is huge...Paul took over Diane's Burritos on the Strand and built a beautiful deck upstairs. Fat Face Fenners is gone from it's old location, and Greeko's is still here....I went in last week to pick up some incense. Remember The Surprise Store? (gone) And the Bijou theater? It had to go for safety reasons. Besties is still here.....Tony's on the Pier is still here. He's threatened to close as well but we'll keep going for the lobster bisque until it falls off the pier. Come on up, I'll give you the 25 cent tour.

I remember you! I went to school with you for ages! Grade school, jr. high and high school. How are you? Oh, this is Anita Young, used to be Aceves. Anyway, in queries about Jerry Little and Michelle Gonzales:
Did you know that you can find Jerry Little's e-mail address in the alumni files here in class of '78? I'd look it up for you and send it with this, but until they divide up the pages in the directories, my webtv can't get past the class of '77 on it! I'm so bummed. Guess I will have to go to the library and use a real computer to look up some people I want to find. As for Michelle...I was able to pull up her alumni year. Hers is on a different years page, is why. Her last name is now Davis and her e-mail address is:michelle_davis@milliken.com
Good luck with that at least. And good luck to you, too, in the Netherlands. Cool place to be.
Anita, I will split the pages after I come back from Wine Country Weekend. I'm sorry about that webTV thing but that's the way they do it.

(hey~~he got a good tip~~we told him to plant his corn early~~besides, when in Rome--) And Janny, honey..didn't want to wake you last night, but I finally got all the nuts and bolts back in your camcorder....Seth made me drop it when he jumped after being pinched by Sherry Peppers.. Makes me glad to be here in OR. But, I know that California sunshine will prevail. I still can't wait to surf my butt off when I come down and visit. My wife will have to be in the hands of others since I'll be trying to get the salts back into my skin. Kelly 0 of Coos Bay, I will definitely look you up next time I'm in town. My wife and I will be visiting this summer but Bandon Beach is our main stopover for the Animal petting zoo which is none like any other I've seen. Can you imagine touching a baby lion, a bobcat, raccoon, skunk, and a possum, all in like 1 sitting. And of course there are many others to touch too. Awesome place for anyone driving up the coast of Oregon. Coos Bay may be our future home????
