Message: JB, thanks for organizing the Pinks run. Seeing Mr. Plotkin and Ms. Brooks again was great. Thanks to you both for the info on Ms. Findlater. She really was a wonderful teacher. I wonder if she ever knew the impact she had on her students, especially me. Nice to have met Noreen Crotty's sister, Georgette and family. Thanks to JB and CT for helping Noreen and I reconnect after 23 years! Cal, good to see you again. Enjoyed meeting Donna and Liz. Hope to meet a few more Cougs at the next event. I'm hoping to see more 74'ers - next time. Have a good week!
Thanks Betty, and nice to meet you too. Cruise Night III at Fosters will be coming up in a couple of months so stay tuned.

Since Donna and I are the only two who really know the truth about what happened and I haven't spilled the beans, then ....Donna? I thought you didn't want anyone to find out what we did....but since you started it I suppose I should finish it....DONNA wanted to do it.....She talked me into it....At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it....Did you guys know that a lap dance is only 10 bucks? And did you know that Donna can still do a back bend all the way down? For further details, call. (310) 543-4771 ask for the Goddess.

I'm so glad I found this site. The years at HHS are dear to my heart. I'd love to hear from my friends. Write soon!

Yeah, What a terrible thing to have happen to 2 of the nicest people I met the other night. I hope their stay in the "you know where" wasn't too traumatic and that they both learned a valuable lesson from their experience. Hey, maybe we ALL learned a lesson from it. God bless you both and I do know a pretty good counselor if you need him. Try not to think about the days, and they'll go by quicker.

Donna couldn't wear that short black number because it seemed to find it's way into my suitcase last trip. It doesn't look as good on me as it does on her. John, ask the girls about the fun they had after Pink's? Definitely "Rowdy Material".

Message: The 50's diner on the circle in orange, is that Watsons? It is a drugstore with a counter and tables, not too big but eating outside on the sidewalk too. It was used in Tom Hanks movie "That Thing You Do". I'm not sure if this is the one you are talking about but the decor hasn't changed in years. I think it's a little older than 50's. The food is very good. Ruby's diners are excellent too. They are 40's style with great hamburgers - 1/3 lb - at least 16 variety's and flavored cokes, plus lots of other fare. There are several in Orange County.
Hi Marilyn, Yes Watsons is the place. Thanks....

Message: I've seen many a persons memories but what I failed to see it this one. Does anyone remember Park Theather on Crenshaw Blvd in Lawndale near Compton Blvd? Back in tha late 69 to early 70's they used to have "Give aways" after the movie was shown on Saturdays for the kids. Then they would call out the numbers on the ticket stub and you would be holding your own hoping to win that top prize which was always a bike. Second prize and so on would be like a radio, free hot dog or whatever. My sister and I won a bike and I was the happiest kid on earth. My mom was happy too since she couldn't afford the bikes. I still wondered if that theater is still there (it was when I last saw it in 1985)
Someone will know that one Raymond. To answer your Tshirt question, sorry, nothing smaller than a medium.

Message: Haven't written in a long time. It's spring and all of my competitions and art shows are in the air. I am working day and night on a computer presentation that's going to Disney studios and a few others in hopes of gaining funding for my animation academy. It's an expensive subject that I teach, but very rewarding. If anyone out there is an expert at PowerPoint, I could sure use some suggestions. I'm having a lot of trouble importing decent sound to fit the still art. The animation segments are fine. My no. is 562-925-9981 X2703, and I'm there after 5:50 am. Enough of that. Billy Ennis I can't believe my sweet little 3rd grader and later accomplished actor has signed on. I think about our college play every once and a while and I do have fond memories of our adventures. You really came through on my graduate project in theater design. I hope your doing well. Keep in touch. Jimmy Peppers...how exciting! My husband has been to Athens, I have not. I need to go just because I'm an art teacher. What a dream! And finally, I was a Parks and Rec leader at Eucalyptus and I loved it. Cynthia was there too. We all went to school there and most of my siblings had Mrs. Hutchison also. Hi King John. Thanks for being the loyal coug. It's good to rest my eyes here once in a while.

Eddie Braun... can you believe Don Dallons stood me up at Pink's? I told you I may have to resort to stunts to get together with him. The idea of getting together with you sounds great, what about Kelly Sturgeon coming too? Lori
Hey Lori, I think we found an Orange County place to meet. It's a 50's diner on the circle in the city of Orange. Chris Prewitt mentioned it and it sounds perfect.

Message: Man I have been away toooooo long! John, was wondering if you could add a subliminal message after every 15 feedback posts to remind us to BLINK! I think I have sat here for over an hour without blinking!! I have enjoyed reading everyone's posts and have been reminded of some fun times and fun people. Someone (I think Lori?) mentioned Mike Kissick and brought a smile to my face. When we moved to Hawthorne in '76 we moved to 122nd St. and lived on Mike's block. What a major crush I had on him! I remember spending a lot of time on my porch hoping to catch a glimpse of him driving by.... and if I was REAL LUCKY he would stop and chat. What a sweet guy... Barbara Gordon (AKA Bill's wife) I noticed that you said that you were from Morningside High. I wondered if you might have known my father Ira Yawnick and his twin Edgar. They were class of '59 I believe. I am going to try and get my butt in here more often so that I don't have 100 pages of feedback to go through in one sitting. I am also going to have to get my butt to one of the gatherings.. (like the one I am missing tonite!) John- the site just keeps getting better.. Thank you thank you thank you!!! OH!! And you know that T-Shirt order I placed back in October.... The checks in the mail. For real! Check #1341 to be exact! And I added an extra $10.00 for my membership... I want the fancy 2 in my star!! Judy- I know it's been awhile since you said I could be a ROWDY.... and I have been REAL bad at posting.... but can I still be a ROWDY?? I promise I will quit cooking! (or at the very least quit washing dishes.....)
Ahh Delia Darlin', I was about to send out a search party for you girl. We've missed you here. Yes, please come to one of our crazy functions. One Name, two sponsor groups and two different years. I really think it was in the summer of 58 but Judi and both JB's and I and the rest of the class of '62 weren't in HHS until fall of 58.
