I went with Kathy Glenn, Linda Wadman, etal and of course Morris Lipson was there. He did the lip-sync that day and the featured performer was a folk singer named Gail Garnett. I ditched water polo practice to go to the show. As the coaches were coming back into their office, the towel-boy, who was watching the show said, "heycoach, look there's some of our students on this TV show".. Needless to say , I didn't play much of the game the next day!! Oh well, it was worth it. Georgia Cook... Linda Wadman is married and living in Redondo Beach.

If you're traveling, keep the greasy side down. RCG.
Thanks Frank and let me clue you into that Rowdy Wizard Form. Judy told me the secret. What you do is take all the ingredients and put them in a big bowl, then mix it thoroughly until it gets to the consistency of say, peanut butter. Then scrape that out into a round plastic tupperware container. Then let it set in the refrigerator until Thanksgiving day. When it's time to set the table, carefully unmold the mixture, throw it in the trash can, and eat the Tupperware!!! Have a great one Frank and enjoy.......

John I want to thank you once again for this website, it has helped me to reconnect with my closest friends that were a very important part
of my life. Just after H.C. I wrote to Mike Hollingsworth thinking that Holly was his sister, but not knowing for sure. He forwarded my e-mail to her, and we have been in touch ever since. This past Sunday she was in Sun City so, Becky Slaughter, Mary and Betty Kean and of course me went to visit her. We had a wonderful time eating and sipping on champagne talking about old times and catching up on our lives. Holly looked wonderful, but then I think we all do.
Thanks again....Angel K

Message: Okay Cougs:
For all of you old enough to remember...what were you doing between 10 and 11AM, California time 36 years ago when we all heard President Kennedy had been gunned down in Dallas? It is one memory that was drilled into my mind. Forever. For me I was doing a watercolor rendering of a building and was in the process of using a wall heater to dry the newly painted sky. The phone rang and I heard the news followed by quickly turning on the TV. Engrossed as we all were back then I forgot the heater and nearly burned the house down. The significance of this event is it was one of the first major news events followed LIVE in America. Our society changed over night. I am sure many of you remember the drum roll of the motorcade as it slowly made it's way through our nation's capitol.
Where were you?
Alan
I know where I was. I was working for Virtue Bros. on Century, just east of LAX. I took off work about noon, as I think half the place did.

And Peggy, thanks for the Hell-o, of course I remember you. How could anyone forget those wonderful day of drillteam with Mrs. Smith.
I have a few questions from a few days back.
1. Where is paddleboad beach?
2. Why are surfers Geeks?
3. Who chose Disneyland for Grad. Night.
4. Why did the dances at the Palladium stop?
5. Where did that cool picture of the Palladium
come from?
And finally does anyone remember The Lloyd Thaxton show? Did you dance on the show? This could be old because I haven't been tuned into feedback for very long. I think Loren Satter was on the show , Fraz ,Morris Lipson, Tim Hood, Lee whatshisname, who almost won the lipsync, until I knocked their socks off when I did Mariann Faithful's This Little Bird.
Wheat grass pie is my favorite, with whipped tofu. Always have a attitude of graditude. Not just one day a year.
Hi Kelley, Wheat grass pie, I have the feeling you can get at a place called "The Spot" in Redondo. The only other question I can answer is, I took the picture of the Palladium about 2 weeks ago. Have a Great Holiday.

It's been fun spreading the news of CT and hearing their feedback after they've seen our site! The Palladium feedback has been really fun to read. I too smuggled a bottle in but was caught later that evening. I'll bet if kids tried that now, they'd get thrown out or arrested. I surprisingly didn't get either. Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful T-Day and I know we will all give thanks for this great website, for our renewed friendships and for growing up in Hawthorne. Glad you are doing better and resting from the hip surgery...you don't happen to have extra demerol...I have this pain..:)
Sheree, I tried to translate your last name. For "Klingen" I came up with "Blade". I tried haugen (instead of hagen) which means "strike towards". I am assuming your last name means "Using a blade to strike." Do you have information on the meaning of your last name?
New coug term:
heyimlosingmoneycoug - Coug spending too much time and money gambling in Las vegas.
John Baker, there was a good article in the LA Times on Pinks (celebrating their 60 years in business). I think it might have been in the Living section (last Wed. or Thu.)? Were you aware of the article? Maybe someone can provide a precise date/page reference.
Reminder: Check out my website at http://dondt.homepage.com. You can view pictures of my family through various time periods, there are some of my drawings and music I have composed (real audio required)....
Hey Don, Yes, I was aware of the article. Actually there've been a few articles this past week in different publications on their 60th anniversary. I'll be staying away until the lines get a little shorter.
I hope Klingenhagen doesn't mean "Slingblade". You remember that movie don't you?
