Hey Robin, Once is NEVER enough with Scanty Annie "I'll show ya' my fanny" LaRue. Best darned "drink bringer" in Henderson. Yeah, she captured this 62ers heart, and she would have graduated from Wilbur Clark's Desert Inn High School in 1993 too, had there not been that silly rule that you can't come to class topless. Ah what's a little age difference when there's true love in the air. She said she liked the way I tipped. If that ain't love, I don't know what is, and I think we'll be tying the knot at the Pair-a-dice Chapel and gift shop where 2's and 12's always pay 3-1.
And you're right Robin, I just couldn't stay away from Mom V's bean dip......Be a Coug boy

The mention of Jerry Oliver (Preacher) opened up a floodgate of memories. What an athelete! I can remember him getting 15 steals in a basketball game. I saw him pick Byron Scott clean two possessions in a row in a pick up game at El Segundo High. He was amazing. I've coached basketball off and on over the past fifteen years and I've never seen anyone with his kind of quickness. I have to wonder what would have become of him if he had played for a different coach. Last I heard, the guy had actually become a preacher.

This is really important to get right . . . The V & B Girls, Prince Robin, THE KING all at the Reserve . . . Look oxymoron up and there's a picture for you . . . DOLLAR Slots and playing the slot with our lower limbs (IS THAT FOR LUCK!) One must recognize the difference between handles, and toe-pulls. About the loss Robin. I knew the guys that built the Reserve and you'll be happy to know they're really very nice, and that they appreciate your play very much. Just before I went to Tucson, the King was goading the Prince about a sweater issue, bravery etc. A few days later, upon my return home, it's a little disconcerting to learn about the "Red Room" and this Spoon Business. Threats of "That's the last time I'll sleep with him" ( why start now ) and questions about a beeping noise. The "sleeping" arrangement, IS WHAT IT IS. About the beeping noise. FYI, the beeping noises could be the counting machines counting Prince Robins coins by hundreds. Both Mom "B" & "V," Gloria and Mike where I'm sure very surprised by all this, but not "coin dust toe's" Patty.
Frank,
If you know the guy that put that Reserve together, ask him where he put the GOOD Dollar Slot Machineor is that too, an oxymoron. Re: the Red Room.......never again with Robin. When he snores, it sounds a little like John Force on a burnout. Next time I'm curling up with Pongo.

The names alone bring an immediate taste response somewhere to the back of the pallet - too many brain cells wasted with those beverages. We would be coming from Washington so you'd be pulling from even farther than Oregon. Regarding road trips in general - does anyone camp or RV (I can't believe I used that term, are we really that old?). We do a fair amount of traveling with our trailer and the idea of a large group meeting somewhere neat sounds like fun. I'd be happy to help organize if you all would give some ideas of dates and locations.
Yeah, those two names remind me of two OTHER names......Huey and Ralph. I was thinking of Yago Sangria. Do they still make that stuff? This "Road Trip" is starting to sound serious. Maybe we could look at this for next summer.

First, tickets to the Homecoming game, do you know if they need to be purchased in advance and, if so, what the price might be?
Second, can you give everyone out in CT land an update on how membership in CT is going. Are you getting a lot of addresses for those not connected on the net? How about growth of the alumni lists? It seems that there were lots of Coug's adding their names.
By the way, there is a contingent of HHS alumni up here in the Napa and Sonoma valleys. Patty V. if you and your family want to make the trip, I'm sure we could find a tour guide among the bunch to show you around. Maybe we could split the difference between the Oregon bunch and the Southlanders and have a mini-reunion up here. We've got some great food, wine and recreation in the vicinity. If there is any interest, we can discuss it at the "Victory" party.
Add my $20 pledge to restore the Class of 1964's seat in Nyman Hall and I'll put a check in the mail.
Anyone out there remember the incredible 1964 production of Bye Bye Birdie. More than a lot of love and labor went into that one. It was "too" big a production for Nyman Hall (they rented Leuzinger's) and it still sold out for the entire run. It was one of the best musicals I ever saw. Janyce Nyman (who, I believe danced in the movie version) help choreograph it. I think they even rented to original costumes and hired a professional orchestra (might be wrong on those points, however). Come on Class of '64, that ought to be enough reason to restore several seats.
Hi Glen, No the seats will be purchased at game time. I don't know what the price is but it's probably gone up from the 50 cent price of the early 60's.
On the Newsletter side, we have 184 members signed up now and as of tonight, we have 1733 on the email list. New memberships are coming in every day, as we added 42 Cougs to the alumni list last week alone. I think what was going to be a mass post card mailing to all classes, will turn into a mailing by classes. Some classes I have, but most I don't have. Most members are people with Internet access. What we need are addresses for people without Internet access. The Newsletter initial mailing is going to be a challenge. Right now we need more members. It WILL happen. It's just going to be a little tougher than initially expected. Nothing good comes easy. We'll get this off the ground after the first of the year.
Thanks for the interest Glenn. If any of you have a question you want answered, do not hesitate to email me. This is OUR website, so do not be shy.
I may as well tell you all now that I'll be moving in about a month and a half (staying in Lomita). This will take my energy away from Cougartown, but will only be temporary. Cougartown has really transcended the class thing, and has turned into one big giant family with more cousins showing up everyday. Thank you all for the support.
