Message: Found this by accident and would like to hear from any of the "60s" crowd. Been out of the country and looks like I missed several of the reunions over the years. Especially interested in how much the school and area have changed since my departure in the early 60's for military service. I now live in the northeast area - Central New Jersey.

Message: John,
I just wanted to take a minute and congratulate you on a job well done. Actually it is not within my emotional makeup to say how I really felt as I "surfed" thru you're site. To say the least I was touched.... I was especially moved by the Vietnam memorial page.
Although you're site's headline say's "Early 60's HHS Page" I was excited to learn that you have allowed some of us "young pups" a little space here and there. I guess what it all boils down to is having pride and fond memories of Hawthorne High School regardless of you're age.
Thanks Again!

John, I think your site has gone beyond the sixties.

Would other alumni attend?? Please respond on Feedback and details will be available soon!

Message: Hey John,
I've been reading the feedback page and I can
solve the Beach Boy dilemma. Our first house, after John and I got married, was on 119th
street, East of Doty, North of 120th, and the Wilsons owned the house down
at the north east end of the block. We lived there from 1964 to 1967. I
have no idea if the Wilsons still owned it then, but Brian sure didn't
live there anymore. Rumor has it that my husband John's sister, Lena, class
of 65, dated one of the Beach Boys, but you know about these rumors. Ha
ha. I guess we all wanted to claim some personal connection to the Beach
Boys fame, Huh? Well I hoped that helped, TTYL Cheryl

Message: The Beach Boys did not live on Truro. My family lived on Truro until 1986. My parents bought our home in 1949. The Beach boys lived east of Hawthorne boulevard. I can't remember the street but I do remember dropping a friend ff near their home. If anyone is in touch with Joy Cavanagh class of '61, she would know. She was close friend of Brian's. Has anyone heard from Bob Clark, class of '63? He was my best friend through childhood and I'd love to get in touch with him again. This is a great site John. I find myself checking in 2 or 3 times a week. I have to be up at 4:45 am because I teach a 0 period animation class. But I still find myself hitting this sight late at night. Thanks John.
Ricki
Note: The Wilson's lived between Prairie and Doty on the North side of 116th or 117th St.

Message: This message is to the AFS student Roberto Arredondo. I wasn't at HHS when you were there, but you mentioned Robin Eastman. I think Robin was still around when I was. I believe his sister is Lisa Eastman. She is the Reunion Coordinator for the class of '88. I think you can find her phone number in the reunion section here. Then you can find Robin. If you mention any other people who were freshman when you attended, I may know them as seniors when I came along. Good luck finding people!

Only about 80 or so showed up. We had 400 and something in our class. Some people never change like Pat Burris and Paul Macki. You guys look great. Hope to see some of you if you come up to Portland, Or. My name is in the phone book. Look me up.

Message: I see my self coming back to this nearly everyday. I constantly think about how much fun it was back at HHS. At the time you don't think about it but looking back, it really was one of the greatest times of my life. I've done many things and travel to many places, but I will always remember my days at HHS. Sure would like to know where Diane Plinck, Kathy Lynch, Kurt Morlock or Greg Staffon is (or is it "are"). I love this page. I have designed web sites for many different companies and spend minimum of 3 hours a day on the net and this page is in the top 1% of all the pages I have seen. Keep up the good work. Boy, I wish I could go back in time. Keith
Note: Well Keith, that's a great compliment and I do LOVE those compliments. I feel the same way you do about taking school for granted and I do think that "Youth Is Wasted On The Young", but then I think about the words in the Carly Simon song. "These Are The Good Old Days". In 20 years, I don't want you wishing you were 40 again. :o)
Thanks again Keith for the nice praise and I know someone out there in cyberspace knows where your friends are.
