Message: Just got in from lovely Phoenix. I tell you that's one place I would never want to live. If anyone from Phoenix is out there, I'm sorry, but it's just not my cup of tea. It was HOT!! Not at all like Prescott. Anyhooo, sorry I missed cruise night. Sounds like it was great. I didn't know the ROWDYS were going to be there. Maybe it's a good thing I didn't show up. Those gals can be TROUBLE, in a fun way. CT PICNIC -- SEPTEMBER 27, 2008 -- PUT IT ON YOUR CALENDARS. NO EXCUSES. THIS IS GOING TO BE A BIGGY! Thank you John for creating CT.

Message: Hey JB, you'll have to switch Aaron's and Nick's order in that pic (great reunion Jeff - you are quite the CT ambassador as YOU sent ME to CT all those years ago). Alan Nelson, sorry for your loss and sorrier that you and Kathy couldn't make Cruise Nite. Look forward to seeing you next time! Saw Buddy Clements 73 - he was Mr. Cratchit to my Mrs. Cratchit in the HIS Christmas Play 1969 - he looks great! Thanks to all last nite for hugs and fun and a long late laugh with the Jensen Boys. It didn't matter how cold, we had fun, fun, fun until the party faded away...we're starting our picnic planning...

Message: What a wonderful day yesterday was!! Charlene and I had a great time starting off with a visit to Leuzinger Memorabilia Days to meet up with some friends, several of which I've only chatted with online. After that, she and I went driving around Hawthorne/Lawndale looking for familiar places. Found the Beach Boys Monument, lingering for a while reading all the inscriptions on the bricks. It was awesome! Then the coup de gras, Cruise Night at Fosters. Charlene had a ball meeting everyone. I just wish you all could've seen JB's and Charlene's faces when they saw each other for the first time after 52 years. They were like kids again!! And that was awesome too. What a wonderful day with old and new friends. It's one we'll never forget. KK

Message: [qoute= mod]Hey Mike, Glad you're back after a few years underground.[quote]Yeah, I broke a rib while surfing El Porto a few weeks ago, so I decided if I can't surf I'd just go back to work. Consenquently I'm way out in a very remote part of Nevada, doing a lith log on a geothermal well. My rib is getting better, but winter will soon be over, so it might be awhile before I get into any good surf. I hope I just keep working until next season. I'm buried in debt and need the money, and I need to be careful not to break the rib a second time. I think my bones are getting more brittle, last year it was a knee.

Message: Cougar Sighting! My wife's uncle passed on last week and we attended the celebration of his life in Manhattan Beach this morning. As he was a retired LA County Lifeguard, it was held on the beach at 24th street, and included lifeguard trucks, a rescue boat and a "paddle-out" in his honor. Afterward I saw a familiar face in the crowd of guests. I spent a few minutes re-living old times with former HHS teacher Bill Featherstone. He was pretty easy to pick out. It doesn't look like he's aged one bit in 30 years. Even though I was in the area today, a tight schedule precludes me from joining everyone at Cruise Night. Hoist a cone for me, and maybe I'll make it next time.

Message: I was just reading Rick Tennant's feedback about getting some thoughts circulating for the 40th reunion for the class of 1969. It's been 24 years since myself, Marna Niles, and Gary Nilsson worked on putting together our 15 year reunion. We had no computers back then. Everything was done either by phone or the US mail. And we literally started the planning 1 year before the event. Thanks to you JB, you have streamlined much of the effort by putting all of our alumni data into one, comprehensive database. What a valuable resource! Anyone who has ever worked on a reunion planning committee knows that the ultimate goal is to have all attendees leave feeling convinced that it was the perfect reunion. However, it all takes organization and forethought, along with a few enthusiastic voulnteers. But it also represents a labor of love.

Message: Cruise Night! Cool. Maybe I can find at least one more Cougar to bring along. One of Foster's fat-free, low-carb hamburger & fries combos should be sufficient inducement. Hey Rick McKelvey! Glad to see you're still at it.
