Message: Hey everyone, it's time to start planning our Cougartown Picnic that will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008, at El Segundo Park starting at 11:00 a.m. Maybe, when John has time, he can put up a registration banner for us. September is always a warm month with really good weather, and maybe some reunion people may want to attend before their reunion. Looking forward to seeing you all in September. MARK YOUR CALENDARS

Message: Cougar sighting! Except I didn't get her last name -- Gina works the front desk at the Bellagio where I was this week for a Which One's Pink? "corporate gig" I was too wrecked on check out to ask her last name but her name tag said "Gina: Hometown Hawthorne, CA" I'd put her somewhere between class of 2000-2002. I told her about Cougartown

Message: Are we still on goofed up lyrics...way too funny...I'm still cracking up about Sloeys "Pledge of Allegiance" and the Salem Witch trials...I always thought Chicagos song was "Just you and me...Simon Legreed" My nephews had some real good ones too...Row,row,row your boat, life is down the street..."Round John Virgin, mother and child...and my daughters always asked me to make them a peanut butter and Julie sandwich...there are so many more that I'm too embarrassed to admit to...and what are they saying at the end of the "Go ask Alice song? "I've been singing "feed my hare" She was chasing rabbits...

Message: KRIMBOW - now there's a name I haven't heard in YEARS! Dana Krimbow was in my class (room, not league) at RH Dana. Dana was quite the BMOC. He must've been big time into surfing even in the 8th grade. Bet Keith knew him. Found him listed in zabasearch in Hawaii, no surprise there- Vallen Krimbow and apparent progeny listed in Springfield, OR. WOW- thanks Bob for that brainshaker.

Message: Another misconstrued lyric story came to mind. Once, long ago, we had a very chaste and naive Cougarette that merrily went around the campus for some time singing, ?You gotta to know how to bone me.? It took a while but after much laughter behind her back, one of her girlfriends corrected her inaccuracy and informed her that she might want to change her tune to, ?You gotta to know how to pony??

Message: Hey John, how ya doin'? Been hanging around alot reading but not been contributing. Regarding funny song lyrics, I'll never forget Valin Krimbow 1968 at RH Dana- he thought "Reach out to the darkness" was "Freak out in the dog patch". Sorry Val, I know I promised to keep it a secret but it has been 40 years.

Message: John and all Cougars Just another big event going on in Hawthorne. At Hawthorne Airport on March 27-29th will be the Parade of Pistons. This is a show put on by Flying magazine. All major piston airplane Mfgs will have planes on display for sale. Even some sport aircraft will be displayed. There will be used airplane brokers giving ideas on buying and selling. Bring your checkbook as demo rides are available and you might buy a plane. It will be worth anyones time just to go and look at what is available today. Just a way to get Pat Macha back to Hawthorne too. I am not involved with this at all. But was impressed when Hawthorne was chosen as one of the four airports to present this show. Others are Dallas Tx, Denver Co, and Greensboro,SC.

Message: Hey JB, Cougar sighting this morning at my favorite coffee shop here in Mission Viejo. Teacher Pat Macha, Pat moved here about 2 years ago. Pat?s passion besides teaching history and geography at HHS has been aircraft to be exact. Pat is an aircraft archeologist someone who identifies and documents wrecked or abandoned aircraft.
Go here to see his website. I mentioned cruise night to Pat, March 1st, hopefully he can make it. As for me, I?m off to China this Friday if all goes well I?ll be back just in time to join in on all the fun at Fosters. Re the pictures at the top; bottom right is that Terry Benjamin if you are looking for Baseball cards Terry is your man! See ya Dennis

Message: Kids are hysterical with song lyrics. When my daughter was about 2 or 3 she went around singing "bone a how" over and over while pounding her fists together, one on top of the other. I didn't have a clue what that was until I heard the kids at church in VBS singing the foolish man built his house upon the sand and the wise man built his house upon the rock while pounding their fists together. Then it hit me "bone a how" was "built a house". Shes 47 and we still laugh about that one.

God bless Fred Ragatz and the rest of you Cougs. May THE COUGAR BE WITH YOU. Jake N Jude
