I grew up in Lowry (7 miles from Starbuck, pop. 300) and ended up living in the South Bay and going to Hawthorne High. How are the walleyes biting on Lake Minnewaska?

I brought my two sons back to Cally last year so they could see where they were born and were I grew up. What a change! Would love to hear from anyone who remembers me. They are going to bring them to school by Wednesday, I will make transparencies and they will share them with the class, as well as their thoughts. So they will be in the La Palma Parade.They are practicing for Ireland in March 08.They are so lucky they will be in Dublin for Saint Patrick's day. The best trip I went on in High School was down to San Diego with Mrs. Duffy & the girls Tennis team.That was a cool Tennis Camp. All those Girls plus I got to play Tennis ! Ah the Memories! Message: I wanted to pass on George Gross's obituary and to thank everyone for their prayers during this difficult time. He will be missed deeply. Please remember to keep Carol in your prayers.

GEORGE GROSS George Kenneth Gross, 60, was unexpectedly called home by Jesus Oct. 25, 2007. He was born in Los Angeles Aug. 5, 1947. George was greatly loved by all who knew him and he loved all he knew. He will be greatly missed.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. George had been a resident of Nevada since 1980. He was a master electrician and employed by the City of Henderson for the past 11 years. He was also a Realtor with Century 21. George was a parishioner of St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church, where he was very active in the Catholic community. He is survived by his wife, of 37 years, Carol; two children, Jason Gross and Mary Ann (Mike) Contreras; and two grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Arthur Gross and Dennis Gross, both of California, and Robert Gross of Virginia. The Benevolent Account for George Gross has been set up at Wells Fargo Bank, account #3953067218.
