Message: The wife and I got in just in time last night to catch the last 20 min of America's next great band that Sharon had posted about. I wasn't impressed by the first band I saw but when Denver and The Mile High band came on, they blew everyone else away. These guys are great. I truly hope they win but either way, this band will be big. Especially with all the Cougs in their corner.
I think I voted 360 times. I hope it's not 75 cents a call

Message: Thanks John for putting the York school up. I went there in the second grade but I'm not sure if I was there for the class photo. We lived near Prairie Ave. on 116th street. After that, we moved to 4936 West 118th st. I went to Eucalyptus Elementary where we met in a classroom trailer out on the street. Does anyone remember that portable classroom? In the fourth grade at Eucalyptus? Tim Lyons and I would play under that old tree out on the playground. Who remembers the tree? I want to thank Jerry Miles for all the work he puts into the videos for us, I check it often. It seems curious that more Cougars don't comment on these.
I was thinking the same thing. The count keeps going up but no one comments. I know they're getting action. Thanks Jim, and now I'm off to see the Cougars...

Message: Well, Susan and Glenn, here I am. Glenn got it very close. We were best friends since pre-elementary school, but I have not seen nor spoken with Glenn for 40+ years. As he said, my family moved to Yorba Linda, and I graduated from Fullerton High. I did teach high school for a while, then moved to college, where I taught art for many years. I am now Dean at Valley College. My field is photography. I have written two books, one for the Getty Museum, and a number of published essays (two coming out next year, one published by Stanford). I also collect photography, and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art mounted an exhibition of my collection last year. I have three kids, Corey, who is a nuclear physicist (from MIT) working in France, Chris, a San Diego fireman, and Catie, who is finishing at UC Santa Barbara. My second wife and I live in Glendale, CA. That's probably more than anyone wants to know. Thanks Susan and Sharon for reconnecting me. Glenn, I will email you directly. I was told that you are a pharmacist in Modesto. Is that true? Go Cougars (and Denver and Rockets!)
Hey Dennis, Well with all the emailing back and forth between the Biermans, Glenn and I, you have been tracked down. I do remember your face from HHS as you were a Sophomore when I was a Senior. Glenn was thrilled to have finally found you as he said he'd been looking for you for decades. Thanks again, and now you know where your friends are. Please add yourself to our Cougartown Info List so we don't lose you again. After all you were a Cougar long before you were an Indian.

Message: Howard, best pictures ever on your PACO'S Pictures Nov. 2 2007. How badly we ALL wanted to date this crew when we were in HHS. If you haven't seen them please spend the time. Shows Cougar spirit and organization to pull this event off. I heard your sisters would not join in because they were afraid of the Russian judge.
Hey Gary, I AGREE and just got off the phone with Paco. SUPER Pacos Pics this month. If you haven't seen them yet, be sure to take a look. You might not recognize ANYONE, but these girls were all friends in high school and have kept themselves wrapped up in the love they have for each other ever since. We should all be so lucky to have JOINED AT THE HIP friends like the Rowdy group. That's what it's all about. Thanks Paco for some great shots, and Sandy, I want your Plaza Square street sign

Message: Haven't checked out things here in probably a couple years, so I spent some time just checking out who really visits this site and bothers to post....I came to the conclusion that this is not visited often by the folks in my class range really (1978-1981) with the exception of Ray Smith. And I've got to tell ya Ray, you come up with some off the wall, from left field things to talk and wonder about! WOW! I'm guessing there's not much going on up there in Oregon, eh??
Hey Lori, You are correct that the 80 Cougars don't write in much. I wish they would. Thanks for stepping up and I noticed your info isn't on the Cougartown Info System. Please update yourself so your Reunion Committee will know where you are at reunion time.

Message: Susan King and JB, Not only do I know Dennis Reed, he was my best friend growing up on 124th Street between Isis and Anza (later La Cienega Blvd.) in Del Aire. He moved to Yorba Linda at the end of his sophomore year with his family. He worked at Disneyland while he finished school (high school and California State College Fullerton, I think). He became a teacher and later a principal, as best I know. I lost touch with him and have searched for years. Perhaps not as hard as finding a Susan King or a John Baker out there, (even with Cougle) but still difficult. I have even watched the Alumni List to see if he has checked in there, without any luck. Thank you, Susan. You and the King of Cougartown have done it again ! The village of Hawthorne has gone global.
Yes it has. That's what it's all about Glenn, connecting with your long lost buddies. I know Sue has his business card and I'm sure she'll email you with the details. Thanks again Sue for the Sighting, as this one found an old friend.

Message: COUGAR SIGHTING! Sister Sharon and her hubby, my daughter Lori and I went to taping of Next Great American Band to root on our cousin's band (Denver (Bierman) and the Mile High Orchestra) tonite and the host came by and asked where we were from. I mentioned Thousand Oaks and the fellow sitting in the row ahead of me noted that he had lived there for 30 years. He was supporting the band "Rocket". Later we told him we actually started in Hawthorne - he said "ME TOO!" Does anyone remember Dennis Reed who would have been Class of 64 but left in Jr/Sr years to move to Fullerton? He grew up and schooled in Hawthorne. Small world folks. So he knows now about CT and Cruise Night and I expect you to post up Dennis. Many of your special old friends are here. The show was great - maybe we'll all go again sometime!
Hey Susan, GREAT Sighting. Thanks for the story and for heading Dennis in the direction of his old friends.

Message: Hey John, Like the new looks of Cougar Town except people have to click to highlight your answers. Otherwise, very cool. Have a Ghoulish day and hope everyone was able to stay safe from the fires. My family and I were within one hour of having to evacuate as the fire was burning in Hicks Canyon which is right behind where I live. We just had ashes everywhere and everything smelled like a campfire and since Santiago Canyon is still burning, we still can smell the fire. A good friend of mine who has a lovely home in Poway next to Rancho Bernardo, had to evacuate with her husband who is in a wheelchair and her cat. But they got out safely and were fortunate that their home was spared.
Hey Sonia, The Feedback page was only that color on Halloween. The cat was in a wheelchair too?? WHAT A COUNTRY!!
