Angora sweaters were very sexy, and in the early 60's must have cost 6 dollars each.

Message: 1st - HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my hubby the "GRAPPA MAN". In honor of his Birthday I let him take me anywhere he wanted. We went "over the Mountains and thru the woods" to Medford, and we shopped all day. We shopped at Black Bird, GI Joes, Harbor Freight, Lowes, and Sears tool dept. of course. You guys get the picture. And I let him take me to lunch too. Whatta Guy.
2nd - Happy belated Birthday to Mom Baker. (a saint I'm sure)
3rd - Talking about Father Redahan ... after giving confession on the eve of my wedding, I had so much penance to say they asked me to finish at home cause they were gonna have to close the church.
4th - COUGAR BALLS are flying outta here. I've mailed out over 90 since I came home. Thanks Cougs.

Happy Birthday John Boy. I love Harbor Freight and Sears Tool Dept, not to mention my second favorite place to spend the night. Yep, if I'm not at Janet's, it's my "open 24 hour" Home Depot.

I've had about 36 confirmations from Cougs saying they want to come...You folks that make the "Pinks Runs" won't have any problem getting there...it's about 2 blocks or so west of Pinks....

Message: Well I may be a day late but I wanted to wish a VERY Happy Birthday to YOUR Mom B, John. I haven't had the good fortune to meet her in person but I fully expect you to have her at the next CT function. V5 and V6 and Sister Sharon and I have some very important questions to ask her.....yup, we're diggin' for gossip. And I think she'll tell! Anyway, I hope it was a happy day and it sounds like the real celebration is scheduled for the weekend. Don't you let her get all wild and crazy like you did with MY Mom B!
You mean when your mom got all wasted on cheap Tequila, stuck the leaf blower down Jose the lawn man's pants, flipped it on and started singing "Up Up And Away In My Beautiful Balloon". Is that the time you're talking about?
Yes, I will relay the message and I will bring Mom to a function one of these days. Actually she WILL tell all, and that's why I'm keeping her locked up in the closet.

The new A&W rootbeer well be located in the Oceangate Plaza on Rosecrans & Oceangate next to Starbucks with Long John Silvers. I'm also a dodger hater it makes so happy that Dodgers are doing so bad no hitting and no pitching being out scored 21-2 great era nomo couldn't even get out of the fourth inning give up two home runs to Barry Bonds who is on pace to hit 324 home runs and has a batting average .833 with four home runs one double 18 total bases more on Barry U.S. Bonds let's for the dodger haters later Dale Craig

Thanks for the update on the A&W and your feelings about Dodgers. I personally love the team so you really hurt my feelings, Dale.

Message: Hi John and the rest of the Cougars;
The Catholics are in the news so much these days it makes me think back to my one year at St Josephs Catholic School (1957). I can only remember three of the priests, Father Redahan, Father Mc Carthy, and the one with the heavy polish accent, I think his name was Father Shigota. These guys never touched a student unless it was to kick our fannys for something. I can still remember standing in line to go to confession. All the students would tip each other off as to which priest was in which confessional. Nobody wanted to go to Father Redahan, you had to spend several hours afterward saying the rosary three or four times or you would surely go to hell. We all wanted the polish guy, he was still learning english so you could confess that you were the zodiac killer and he would tell you to say three Hail Marys and an Our Father. By the way Baker, Happy Birthday to your mom, how is she doing these days??
M.S.

She will outlive both of us....

Message: Dodger hater should have listened to the clue. It is going to happen this year. And Jill McFarlane has been declared the winner. Yes April 12th is when by all indications the Dodgers will be mathematically eliminated from the National League pennant race. An alternative answer would have also been accepted by stating that Barry Bonds would have hit his 50th home run of the season, all against the Dodgers of course. But Dodger hater if in fact April 12th was opening day for Dodger stadium, I'll check, you will also win.

Message: Ok, April 12 is significant for the Dodgers of this year, because so far they are 0-2, and I think by 4/12 they will be mathmetically eliminated from the playoffs. OR April 12 will be the day where someone tells them that Spring training is done, and the season has started. Either way, wish I had not bet my kids inheritance on the Dodgers going all the way this year. Oh well.

OK for my dear friend Cynthia V-3 Valencia, why is the date of April 12th significant for the Los Angeles Dodgers? First one with the answer receives a free stack of pancakes at good stuff in Hermosa. By the way the pancakes are compliments of our beloved prom committee.
