Message: This is to Enza Nicocia and Sean Fitzpatrick.... Hi guys! I have to side with Sean on the big question. Remember, I went to the funeral, too, and my mother took Enza and I. Enza was too upset to go back to school after that, so my mom took her home. Enza, do you remember that part? Yes, Sean is correct with the question....who died that sad day in Dec. 1967 and went to Hawthorne Intermediate School and perished in a plane crash? Yes, Sean got it right. It was Sylvia McHenry. Sylvia was a good friend of mine from York School. Glad I could be of service... Now, the next question I want to know is.... Where oh where is D'D Mahoney. Her and Sylvia McHenry were the best of friends from York Elementary School. D'D left So. California to Redding, CA before we were in 8th grade and where she finally got her horse that she always wanted. We were in Mrs. Mc Daniel's class in 7th grade and that is when I met Enza! In high school, I lost D'D's address. She was also a very good friend. Enza, you are right. You can't have too many friends! If anyone knows, e-mail me!

Doug's address is Doug Robertson, 2840 Acacia Av. Fresno, CA 93705. Hope this helps....

The Sylvia who died w/her family, she is on the top row second from last picture. Remember? I think her name was Hernandez. It is GREAT to remember all the people who came across our lives...and it makes it easier when you can re-connect on cougartown!! THANKS JOHN!!
It's easy to forget sometimes, people who touched us in so many ways..(like the young Sylvia, who's life was taken at such an early age, I'll never forget her funeral, it was sooo sad!!) Life is short, re-connect with the people who you have lost contact with today!! You can NEVER have too many friends!!
Ciao, Enza :)

AMEN to that, Thanks Enza

I still have my year book from 8th grade and there is a wonderful dedication page to Sylvia. I hung out with her and Kay Downing sometimes. Kay was very close to Sylvia and her family. I like to pull out that year book from 68 after I get the reunion pictures back, it helps me to remember people, and believe me I need all the help I can get these days! It's amazing the amount of people a person can know in their life, and John you have been an important part of making sure we don't forget. Thank you!

Message: I'm in a mellow mood, listening to my favorite CD George Martin's "In My Life". After mentioning Beany the other day, I couldn't help wondering about some other early shows: "The Pinky Lee show", "Ina Ray Hutton's" all girl band, and "Spade Cooleys" band (think he ended up in the slammer). I suppose after 469 pages of feedback, these shows have been mentioned, but I'm too lazy to look. (Come on Spring!)
Yep, I think Spade shot his wife for burning the toast or something like that. If you want to search something out on the website, go to the top of this page and click on Keyword Search, type in a word like Cooley or Pinky and it'll tell you what pages, if any, they're listed on.

Cynthia is who I remember you with more than Ricki...but Cynthia let Patty and me tag along with her to work, more than Ricki did. Maria used to write in a lot, what happened to you Maria? Nina what high school did you go to?
Nina - Maria.....where's Pinta? And as for Ricki, I just thought "mature" was a better choice than aging, declining, decrepit, feeble, ancient, frail, aged, antiquated, tottering, fragile, haggard, wasting away, infirmed, unsound, ambulatory, flimsy, elderly, worn, drawn, jurassic, pre-dirt, OTH, carbon dated, or 3 feet under. And Ricki, just remember, it's ALWAYS better to be "over the hill" rather than under it.

Someone in the government housing project where I lived had one (nobody had a telephone, however, and very few cars). I must have been about 6 years old. From then on, I used to beg anyone who had TV to let me watch TFB. We finally got a set and I was in "Stan Freeberg Heaven" (he ad-libbed Cecil, my hero). It lost its charm in the animated version.
