Talking about this site, having Burris and Shultz on the same page haha thats a site. They were inspirational leaders in my youth and I will always remember those days. Many stories, AMF parties, etc. that they hold would be fun to share on CT, come on guys put them up on the screen, you have a great audience here. PEACE Bill
Hey Bill, Another guy that's come back. Man, I thought you were gone for good. Thanks for the shout. Sorry you didn't make Prom Night. You woulda fit right in.

Or are there C-town events that I can maybe go to one of these days? Please let me know. I would like to have a chance to meet all of you, especially Mr. Baker.

Message: John, Belated Happy Birthday! Hope it was as much fun as the PROM.
Also, thanks to the ladies for making the Prom a reality. Great job! Seems like we could create a club for those wanting out of Biology. Did anyone else have to read Darwin's Theory of Evolution in order to get the transfer?
Again best wishes for the birthday boy.

It would be easier to do Biology than read that one. Thanks Vickie.....

Count me in on lunch. I miss all you "kids".

Thanks Linda, I've been wondering if you fell off the planet or something. Yes, we'll set a place for you at the lunch table too, and thanks for letting us all know you're still out there. Being older than me, you never know.

I can't recall of EVER letting anyone out of that very special subject. Do you? And, of course, Vicki wanted out of everything except TA in the Counseling Office. Happy Birthday, John. I must be the only one who hasn't said it. But we did hear you yelling "Let the celebration begin" way out here in Rancho Mirage.
Now THAT'S FUNNY!!! Yes Bob, I had a VERY "Celebratory" birthday if I DO say so myself. Thanks for listening.

I'm looking forward to the next reunion and also staying in touch with all other Cougs. Sharon Willis, A Big Congratulations, hope all is well. What a change from our days in Boulder and Avalon. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a time when Hawthorne was the ideal place and the people were, and continue to be, the most supportive and committed to a long lasting friendship. I have known people from every grad class from the 60's through the early 90's and the spirit continues to live on. Once a COUGAR always a COUGAR. There is always someone close by who is from HHS. See you soon, Wade
Hey Wade, Very well put; I feel the same, as lots of Cougars AND Olympians were my friends growing up, and we continue our friendship to this day. Hawthorne was just a friendly place to grow up "in".

Message: As I was possibly the youngest person at the Prom, I would actually like to thank everyone who helped out and I encourage anyone who did not go this time to go definitely go next time. Having come from a family of Cougars (the whole Dominguez and Perkins clan (Aunts/Uncles/Cousins) but 4 so far graduated from HHS) I knew so many people. It was nice to party with my parent's friends and the parent's of my friends. My whole table stayed till the lights went on. Mike (91 grad) and I had the greatest time, better than my own prom. You all know how to party. I'm sorry I missed Mr. Plotkin. :( Thanks again to everyone involved and who attended for making Prom 2001 the best it could be...especially my whole table.
Thank you Terri, I'm glad you liked it, and coming from such a young HHSer, I have thought you might've wanted a Mosh Pit at the next one. JUST KIDDING!!! The only difference between the 90's Cougs and the 50's-60's Cougs was we needed about 3 days rest afterwards. Thanks again Terri......

Hey Mr. Kyllonen - Have you noticed that everyone is taking credit for wanting OUT of Biology? The V-Girl who went to your table was my little sister Gloria. But it is quite possible that Vickie was the one you remember. Afterall, Gloria's visit was probably just after her mistaken identity encounter with Ms. Dicus. Poor Mr. Andrade it seems we all wanted out. I'll never forget accidently poking myself with a needle while I was injecting hormones into baby boy chickens for my experiment. Well, that's a whole other story. :0)

Actually not this morning although I WAS yelling, "Let the Celebration Begin" last night.

Message: Hello cougars, it has been a while since I have written any feedback, I have been in touch via email with some cougs, but as far as Cougartown, I had pretty much dropped out of the picture last year...we have had a hard time since Dec. of 2000, my youngest son Paul in the Marines in 29 Palms had emergency brain surgery on Dec 2..my husband and I were with him in San Diego for 2 weeks until he recovered...then in Feb. my father-in-law passed away after a fight with kidney cancer...so as you can see, there has been enough to keep me busy...but sometime in the near future we will be in CA to retrieve my son from the Corp. I hope at that time there will be something going on from Cougartown that I can participate in. Sure would love to see you all ...bye for now LIZ. ( the EASTSIDE troublemaker ) ha,ha

Message: Frank Romano, a member of the class of 1961, lives in Las Vegas and visits Cougartown.com on a regular basis. Frank had a heart transplant and seems to have been responding quite well. He made a reservation to Prom Night and was looking forward to meeting old friends, but an organ rejection problem occured which has forced him to have additional medication in an attempt to get the rejection under control. Last night Frank wrote, "Thank you for taking the time to say hello. I truly appreciate this. Once I am able to get back up I'll drop you a note... just now I am having some nasty moments with these medications... But, I can't help but know that compared to a great many others ... my life's a piece of cake ..."
Frank can be reached at: fromano@lvcm.com

Thanks Bob, Frank's a perfect example of the guy that's living every day to its fullest. Frank has the heart of a mid 20's computer programmer beating inside him and has handled this body trauma without so much as a whimper. He often has rejection problems and handles the situation as routinely as you would go for a check up. "A piece of cake?".... I don't think so. Get Well Frank, as we miss your banter on the Feedback Page.

Thanks Jill, I think I'm 57 or 58; somewhere in there, but that's just how long I've been on the planet. That's not a good indicator of age at all. I think of Harry Plotkin and the Ol Coach when I think of age-LESSNESS.
It doesn't matter what's going on, Harry wants to be there doing it, and Coach Chauncey is trying to rehab his spine so he can get back on the court and separate some guy half his age (number) from his lunch money (sorry coach, didn't mean to blow your cover). So when you get to certain plateau, and someone says, "well Jill, you're 50 now, it's time to start slowing down" don't listen to that hogwash. It's only a number.
