Message: To Sloey: Thanks for remembering my B-day. Couldn't think of a better guy to spend 4-weeks in the summer of '70 driving 10,000 miles in your VW - no credit cards, gas 25-cents a gallon - sleeping either a one of your relative's homes in Michigan and Nebraska or outside of your Beetle. Remember "Make It With You" by Bread and thinking that it was Jose Feliciano. We got hassled at the Canadian border twice and later found out that it was because we had California plates. Hey, I'd do it again ...

Message: Names...I met this guy one day over here in Hawaii. I was having lunch a few years and this guy comes up to me at my table and introduced himself to me. As he stuck his hand out, he said aren't you Keith D. Jones and I said yes as I stood up to shake his hand. Just as I was about to shake his hand he said "my name is Dick Rasch." Just then I pulled my hand back and said to him "you know you can get some something to cure it." And we started to laugh along with everyone else who heard me. He worked for an advertisng agengcy who I later did some business with. To this day we are still friends. But inagine living with that name. And how about Kim Virgin (a fellow very pretty Cougar) who graduated I think around 1979. Aloha Nui Loa

Message: Debra Lee McGregor: Wow...a dog named Debbie!
I once was introduced to a dog named "Timothy" on Judah in Holly Glen...he scared the h*l out of me
I was walking by a fense and saw this big big nose come from under it and a monsterous bark....come to find out Timoty was small mut, with a big bark and big nose....To this day though, i think it is quite odd to name a dog Timothy...let alone a mutt with a big nose
John Baker, I apologize for adding so many links to my posts recently. Would one link a week be ok? Thank you for letting me know your concern.

Message: OK, everybody. It’s time for honesty. We all know that lawyer’s, by their very nature, have a hard time with the truth. Well let’s set the facts straight.
1. I never was so inebriated that I needed a ride from Sloey.
2. I am not homosexual (not that there is anything wrong with that…Seinfeld).
3. I am beginning to doubt there even is a Jerry Miles.
But lawyers do have their uses. Whenever I do go drinking I carry my lawyer’s card with me. It has his picture on it and if he starts to look honest, I quit drinking.
Walter Holt.. I think it’s Joe Cocker and Iron Butterfly’s In-A-Gadda-De-Vida.
Thank you. I’ll go back to lurking now.

When I see my Baaby..What do I see....Pooetry... Poetry in Motion.... cause you know that .... Thoooose Oldies but Goodies Remind me of you. Speaking of Those old tunes Ctown, It’s time for a little Casey Kasum type trivia:
#1. This popular English Recording Artist of the late 60’s & 70’s, in 1965 recorded his first single record that almost ended his career. The song a remake of the Beatles “I’ll Cry Instead”, was recorded on Decca Records under the name of Vance Arnold & the Avengers. The recording didn’t set the world on fire earning this Artist only $1.97 in royalties. After numerous Hits, he is still recording today. Who is that Recording Artist?
#2. On November 2, 1968 during a concert at Madison Square Garden. This short lived English recording group was awarded Platinum Discs for one of their albums, 8 years before the RIAA officially started awarding such items. What was the name of that Musical Group & What was the Title of the Album ?

Message: Ah, nicknames. When I was in elementary school during show and tell a student brought in their new unnamed puppy. He was asking for suggestions on names and someone yelled out, "Name her Debbie Lee". Debbie stuck and the dog was named Debbie. To my dismay, I became Debbie Dog for the next two to three years. In High School Robert Ruegger used to call me Hobo Kelly because of my upturned nose. At a coffee shop where I used to work a few years ago, the cooks named me La Loca. My daughter is Molly McGregor, and for a few years she had to hear Molly McButter all the time! You all have a great weekend. Keep the fun and games coming. And ah, the memories too.

Sometimes got called "B**chell by some of my not so dear ones. What is funny is that no one ever asked me how to spell Twitchell but I get asked all the time how to spell Porter. Still I think I'll keep it after the divorce goes through....I've had it longer than Twitchell now. I think my brother who followed me at HHS picked up Twitch too after I left.

Message: Susan Bierman, nicknames, jeez! With a name like Anita, well, you get Anita Bonita, I need a....take your pick, I got it all, I need a joint, a drink, a b.j. etc. It never ended. And, a last name like Aceves, which most people can't even pronounce, anyhow....assface, ace-vess, ass-a-vees,a-see-vees,etc. I think the coolest nickname I ever had was when my now 32 year old niece was only like 3 or 4 years old and couldn't say the name Anita but said my name "Eat-a". This was around the time the Allman Brothers album "Eat A Peach" came out, so people started calling me Anita Peach! Pretty cool, I thought. Better than all that other crap! Another one that evolved was instead of Anita Bonita, now it's just "Fishwoman". Now, with my married intials, it's AMY, not too bad. I miss my maiden name because it was unusual and rare, but don't miss the lame ass nicknames I got from it! Good riddance, I say!

Message: Last night at Wahoos was great. It gave me a chance to meet the Venus Lady with her perky personality. Judy, it was a pleasure to meet you. I know that with your planning and surprises, Prom Night 2001 is going to be fantastic, and will be talked about for years. John, Fearless Fosdick is vaguely familiar. Is he the character that looks like Swiss Cheese due to all the bullet holes in his body? I know he was in the Comics. Was there a Fearless Fosdick TV cartoon?
Yes, he's full of bullet holes and was Al Capps answer to Dick Tracy. I looked that up on the Internet.
Yes, Prom Night is going to be a gas and a half. I just talked to my friend Bob Reagan in Redding CA who doesn't have Internet access, and he will be here for the big event. I really want all the Ctowners to be there. I will be attending the 59-60-61 reunion in April and will pass the word there. Lots of those Cougs don't have Internet access either, and therefore don't even know about Prom Night. Please don't get left out Ctowners. This is going to be a grand event. I want our group to be the main attraction. Don't wait too long as tickets are being sold every day.
