Funny thing the bulk used to be around my chest but somehow gravity got a hold of it and pulled it to my middle. Oh well back to the abslider. Jim Lowder…Lets see aren’t you the guy on page 169 of the 66 El Molino, surrounded by Morris Lipson (one of the funniest people I remember), Andy Loch, Phil Lombardi, Larry Low, Virginia Lutz, Jeanette McClain, Gary Clenahen & Christopher McCormac in the 66 El Molino. Also on page 143, 3rd person from the left, on the top row of the 65 El Molino. (What, me have to go to the El molinos to remember anyone…no not me…). Good to see you Jim been a long time and I agree Mission Viejo Is a nice place to Live… Diana Olsen…thank you for the heads up on Randy…Any assistance you can give me in getting in touch with him would be greatly appreciated…you can email me at the address above. Message: About the time it seemed right to wish everyone a happy turkey leg, it was already burp day. The King had already departed for his royal weekend. Since I'm discussing kingly matters, JB. Your birthday wish to your Father was most touching. I'm sure he appreciated your feelings and that you had gotten past the point of making the touching remarks resemble looking for a 20 spot. Anyway folks... it's med time, and so I don't take a hit from the boss, I'll just take one short moment to wish each of you the warmth of knowing that we all have Thanksgiving every day. That it's just once a year that we take a day, mark it with a red letter and call it special. The day isn't the special part, what's special is we take this marked day, and make appointments for the date to visit those still with us that matter the most. Some think of other marked days, filled with memories of those who have gone from our sides to venture before us, to wait for the opportunity too once again rejoice with them in a place that is, but is call by many names. I will say my thank you to each and all, and in particular my donor and his family. Remember to recycle life, be an organ donor.
That's right Frank, be an organ donor, just don't rush the donor part. I figure when I'm done here, I've just become "spare parts" and whoever needs anything that's still operating is welcomed to it. Happy Holidays to you and Maria, and we'll see you on Prom Night.

Message: Here's one for all you 50's and 60's folks out there. Does anyone remember attending any of THE CASUAL CLUB dances?? I can't actually remember if they were held at the American Legion Hall or what the place was, but they'd have them either on Friday or Saturday nights, and there was no drinking allowed. I know, I know ... "goodie two-shoes!" I think they didn't allow smoking either. Some red-headed guy from Leuzinger used to organize these dances and we would fill that large room with 18, 19, & 20 year olds. And dance until they closed it down! Had a blast!! But I can't remember the name of the hall for sure nor the name of the guy who organized it ... he was a really nice kid.
In fact, one of my best friends, Charlotte King, met her future husband there. Charlotte wore glasses as a rule and when we would go to these dances, she would take her glasses off and leave them in the car. There were benches all around the outside of the room, connected to the walls. She and I would sit there and get a good look at everybody coming in. Now Charlotte was a tall girl ... I would guess just around 5'9" so she was always looking for tall guys. One night, there we were, early and on the benches so we could check everybody out, and in walks her future husband. Charlotte turned to me and said, "Doris! There goes a tall one ... what does he look like?" I replied, "Charlotte ... he's not bad." Charlotte was off of that bench in a heartbeat, never to be heard from again ... well, sort of. They started dating, got married and are still married to this day, happily I might add! AIN'T THAT ROMANTIC???!!! DOO-WOP, DOO-WOP!
Nope, don't remember the casual club dances but I bet someone does.

Message: Hey there Terrie Kostizak. You asked about the 81 Class Reunion on behalf of your sister and here you are living 2 miles from my house here in Oregon and didn't bother to call me about it. Now I do have some info about our 20 year reunion. Yes it will be next summer. Yes it'll be an open invitation to all class that was involved with ours (such as class of 77 on to 84). There's 3 of us that has some involvements and that's Donnie Trevation (in N.C.), Marlene Olsen (Seal Beach, CA) and myself. Word is out on Locating some of the key people such as Margorie Berkel, Tammy Hoffarth, Judi Watanabe, Scott Maples and a few more if at all possible. The key people would really be the ones who still lives in CA since they would have better access. So tell ya sister not to worry. Another thing to ask is does anyone have Classmates.com and inform me how they like it? I hate to waste 30 bucks on it and then I can't find 2 if not more High School buddies such as Helen Jay (Vandal) of class of 83 (HHS) and David Tayloe of North Hollywood H.S. c/81.

Message: BOY JOHN! Did I ever miss you these last 4 days! I'll bet I'm not alone in that sentiment either! If someone had told me I would look so forward to seeing who made the last comment or what your little responses would be or that I would be so wrapped up in a website, I would have told them they didn't know me very well! This website is GREAT, JOHN ... JUST GREAT!
One good thing about your being gone for so many days is that I get a chance to catch up on old FEEDBACK. It's funny how you will see one set of names over and over again and all of a sudden they disappear from the face of the earth ... or at least the face of COUGARTOWN FEEDBACK! Then you hear from a whole different bunch for a while, and so it goes year after year. I DO WISH more 50's people would rally 'round this website! Just as Richard Hanson '56 put it way back on page 26 of Feedback, "Would like to see pre-60's speak up on this site."
Come on 50's ... where are you??!!!!
Geez Doris, glad you missed us so much. It gives you a chance to catch up on Feedback and it gives me a chance to stand up.
I love the website, but it's nice to get away and think about other things.
Yes, where are you pre 60's people?? Let's hear from you.......

Message: Well, for those of you who may have been concerned that we would have a repeat of last year, and perhaps be without Ctown for awhile, you can relax now. John, once again, managed to shimmie up my palm tree and adorn it with hundreds of little Christmas lights, to the amazement of all onlookers. And...this year he didn't kick the ladder out from under himself and end up sliding 10 feet down those nasty palm fronds...ouch! The show wasn't quite so funny, but there was less blood! Thanks JB!!
JB2
Yeah last year I fell 20 feet, I THOUGHT to my death, and all I could hear was laughter. This year Janet called all the neighbors so they wouldn't miss the levity, but I fooled'em boy. This year I didn't hardly do any damage to the tree OR the concrete walkway. I DID manage to jam a palm frond under my thumb nail as I was cutting up the trimmings though. Next year I think I'll put the lights around the window and forget it.

I also think we should remember that today is the anniversary (Cheryl reminded me) of what was a very sad day in our history. Our 35th president, JFK was assassinated in the streets of Dallas 37 years ago today. With all the polarization of political parties right now, I know of not another time in MY life when the people were more unified than November 22, 1963. I guess what it all comes down to is, we're Americans first and foremost.
