Message: Loogies on the ceiling. I don't remember boys spitting them on the ceiling over the lunch tables...actually, I don't even recall that there was a ceiling over the lunch tables, but I could be wrong about that. I do remember seeing some of my more colorful friends spitting loogies on the ceiling of the open corridors at the end of one of the buildings. The purpose, as I recall, was to get a large loogie stuck up there and then stand back and wait for gravity to pull it back down, preferably on on someone's head. Hope that helps.

I can still recall vividly that Larry Porter use to do that right on the corridor ceiling before the buzzer sounded.. ugh.. Now that was in the early 60's.. (I tried to forget, but couldn't) RE: PROM NITE.. Anita Young.. do tell Aunt Nora that a date is not needed.. the way we figure it, STAG TO THE PROM IS FINE. Besides, how exciting to show up at PROM NITE by yourself..and 'perhaps' leave with an old flame.. or a new flame.. or better still, just have the best time of your life anyway.. This is for you guys out there that used to spit lugies (I'm sure I do not have a clue how to spell that) onto the ceiling over the lunch tables at HIS. WHAT WAS THAT ALL ABOUT AND WHY IN THE WORLD DID YOU DO IT? Was it just something that 7th and 8th grade boys did before growing up?
I have always wondered about that!

Don't know Chris. I don't recall doing it in 57 and 58.

I also heard from a very prominent alum, that it's "real gold" in those stripe's. As opposed to the the sc mustard puke pee yeller on their's. And by the way, you duck lovers, the only sound you'll hear from Squawk country is the sound of the ducks breathing from the quack of their... uh posterior bi valve. On a serious note(really) I would like to ask a question of the entire COUGAR CLAN. Does anybody know much about "earthlink" as an internet provider as opposed to AOL? Just curious as we were looking into it. Thanks ya'll. Whats that noise?..... Ah, someone stepped on a plucked duck. MAY THE COUGAR BE WITH YOU! Jake N Jude.

Another CT success. AND she will be coming to visit NY in a couple of weeks, so it was really good timing. She isn't online yet, because her new computer is acting up, but I told her to come to CT when she does get online. We are now trying to find another old friend, Kitty Reading, whose father owned Reading Tire and Retread. They moved to Redlands before Kitty finished at HHS. I suppose I would have got a pie in the face had I attended...Gee Kell, you strike me down just when I was about to tell “my” favorite pony story...took the fun right out of it (and I paid my $10.00, what a gip). The truth is that although I did not graduate from HHS, I did attend my freshman year. I think that was the year you passed out (just kidding). Only having attended my freshman year, I promise that I will only write in 25% as much as you do (see the math skills I received in Oregon schools). As everyone can see by the picture you submitted (me on the porch?) you and Robin never wanted to share the water with me and Timmy (is he picking his nose again?). And John, you can put me in any color that will make Kell happy. Being a devoted Bruin fan (right), you should probably use pink...18 straight at home ladies, this will be no duck walk...more like a quack attack. Oh...for those who might think were airing our dirty family laundry in public, I love you too cuz, always have, always will...PS..The pony story was a good one too.

What I want to know is, what is that in the water in front of Robin?

As for old movies....the first time I was allowed to watch one with my older brother and sister, Mike and Mary, was on Chiller, too ( yes Chris, me too) and it was Peter Lorre in the Crawling Hand! I was even allowed Mike and Mary's ritual when watching scary movies....really sharp cheddar cheese sandwiches made with lots of French's yellow mustard. Don't ask me why they did this, they just did! Went well with monster movies....one of my all time faves is part monster movie part comedy....Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein! Now that is a great classic! All the good monster movie monsters were in that one!
