Message: Last year my daughter and I went to Alpine village for lunch and George Segal and Benjamin somebody married to Paula somebody (actors-however I'm brain dead right now as to the last names) were there having lunch also and even came up to our table to tell us how attractive we were???!!! How's THAT for an ego trip? Of course they are even older than dirt than I am so.... they probably just meant my daughter, {bummer} BUT.... I will still pretend they meant both of us.

Message: I just read the current page of "Feedback" and didn't see any mention of Brian Wilson's concert at the Hollywood Bowl tonight, tomorrow and Sunday. I've been a season ticket holder for many years and feel fortunate that his performance fell on one of my nights. Maureen Curran Sesky and I will be enjoying the concert, and we'll be looking for other Cougars too. Hope to run into some old acquaintances!

Message: I noticed the spike in the contribution for the sports program. Is that number from people who contributed through Cougartown only. I am asking because we need to know if anyone or company has donated through the Sponsorship Packet I sent out. We need to get those people or companies a couple things for their support and I want to make sure that happens. I know Guy Hocker is contributing just don't know how much or if he did yet.

Message: I remember those Flicks candys...I had forgot all about them. You're right...they were awful....So I have to ask...After you bought them at Ralphs, did you eat them....and did they still taste like the good old days....A couple years ago at one of the dollar stores in Albq they were selling, Abba Zabbas, Looks and Cup of Gold candies. I didn't know they were still out there. I remember another candy called seven up or something with the word 7. It had 7 bites...each had different flavor. I think that was more of a 60s candy. Til next time....

Message: Hear ye hear ye - let it be known to all man, woman, child and dog that the Jensen boys will be attending the 4th annual HHS Cougartown picnic. Hey Judy - will there be any "nipples of Venus" at said event? We have been at the last 2 picnics and have had a wonderful time. Good choice on the park. Not too big and easy to find. You'll find us somewhere close to the "B" girls in the shade drinking cool-aid.

Message: Hey Cougars, Brian Wilson will be at The Dersert Arena in Primm tonight. I know Primm is kinda far, and gas is sorta steep. But we're talking Brian Wilson here-the dude behind Pet Sounds and Smile, not to mention a few dozen songs you might have heard, like "Surfin' USA," "California Girls" and "Be True to your School" by some band called The Beach Boys. If that's not worth a couple of $20s and a short drive, nothing is.

Message: Wow John, you sure bring back some memories. I recall as a youngster I went to the Plaza to see the original House on Haunted Hill and when I was walking to my seat something got stuck to the bottom my shoe. Wanting to be sure I didn't step on some kind of rodent dropping, I pried it from my shoe and took a taste. Whew, lucky for me it was just, what I judged to be, a three or four month old Rollo. Well, being the sharp kid I was, I knew there was no expiration date on a Rollo, so I went for it (hey it was free). Well anyway, the caramel was still pretty tasty, but the chocolate, well, it was bitter and a bit grainy. So that was my worst chocolate experience at the Plaza. Is that the right answer?

Message: Flicks chocolates! Not very good, but they lasted forever. I think Flicks must have been part of a WWII GI's rations along with Spam, powdered milk & eggs, jerkey and other artificial food meant to last forever. On another note JB, what happened this past week to lift us up another $6K in the fundraising? Sounds like a Secret Santa made a nice drop-off to the cause. Keep up the giving and maybe we'll hit our target in another couple of months.
