Message: John, I especially like the "something, something, something" part of that commercial jingle. Those were always the three little words that seemed to stick with me too! LOL! Fercryinoutloud! Where's PACO? The pics haven't changed for a month ... is he okay? Oh! Also John, it would appear that your father was very tall, is that right?
I just can't remember that second to last line. What was that....50 years ago?? My dad was 6 foot 2, so he was pretty tall for a non-basketball player.

Message: Is a 40th anniversary reunion even on the horizon for Class of '64? I don't care if we dine, dance, bowl, picnic, beach party, or whatever. Is anyone even thinking about it? I don't get to SoCal very often, but I would saddle up if there was even a hint of a get-together of any kind.
Hi Tom, Didn't the class of 63 and 64 team up last year? It sure would be easy to get them together again as all have been recently contacted. Anyone of you 64 people want to give it a try? Let me know.

Message: I've been absent from Cougartown for some time now. I'm glad to see it's still going strong. I chuckled to see that some people were wondering if the class of 1974 was going to have a 30-year reunion. We always were an apathetic group! But it looks as if Jim Cicelese is going to try to pick up the reins and get something started. Well Jim, if it's not too late, I'll pitch in and see if I can help, too! Any other folks from 1974 out there that would like to get this thing going? How about it? Let's hear from you.
Hi Ingrid, Glad you're back and ready to help...as always. There you go, Jim.....

Message: The feed store brought up some beautiful memories. Before I was 10, we raised Bantams. So every Easter daddy and I would go to the store and pick out at least 15 chicks. I always thought it was the feed store in Lennox, but your family place was right down the street from our home on 129th Street, so that must have been where we went. A nostalgic moment. Thanks! I loved that place!
Hi Adrianne, No, I believe you probably went to Lennox. Though he did sell chicks, my grandfather's feed store was gone by about 1937.

Message: We have been a partying at the Nicocia's these past couple of days. It's been a bitter sweet time here due to the fact that we have sold the old folks properties (in less than a week!), and have lifted a glass (or two) of margaritas in celebration. Billy Wadman c/o 75 and my bro Nick c/o 74 are here from Las Vegas visiting and reliving the old memories of the last 48 years here on Broadway and Freeman. It's always a fun time when Billy Wadman comes and visits; he's been like another member of this strange?, fun, loud, immigrant Sicilian, never a dull moment ~ familia! :)) So, we are having an estate sale this Friday and Saturday; and to all our Cougar friends who had the pleasure of enjoying our momma's homemade pizza and papa's homemade wine in our amazing garden; C'mon by and say goodbye. "Those were the days, my friend, I thought they'd never end......"
Another Hawthorne institution leaving?? Say it ain't so, Nicocias!! Please stay in touch with all your old buds right here in Ctown, where you're never farther than a feedback away from anyone. Good luck to you all....

Also: PENNY PROUTY, this is the same guy you used to commute with on the Max Bus a few years ago.
DON BURNS, it was nice seeing you, and your T-Bird, at Knott?s Sunday. Wow! sooooooo many Mustangs. The 1964 Indy 500-pace car was a standout. I saw this race live at the LA Sports Arena on closed circuit TV.

Hey Paul, I don't know where the rest of the seats wound up but if it was anything like Hollys, they just bulldozed them.
