Message: Hey Rick. Good to hear from you, and about old friends. Even tho I am not a "tree hugger", you know we need them to balance the load :) I never thought of myself as Eddie Haskell, but now that you mention it...LOL...and I won't call you Beev. Give the rest of your family a "HI" for me, especially the tree hugger. And a quick thanks to John and the CT site for all this.

Message: Hi, Coogs, especially you older ones from my era. Been "lurking" on CT for a few years ever since I discovered it. Have learned some good news (those who are still around) and some sad news (those who are no longer with us). Does anyone recall a pal of mine named Les Basis? Know how to get in touch with him? Last I knew he was in the Bay Area. Haven't heard from him since the late 60's after he returned from Nam. John -- You're doing a great job with the CT website and are providing a wonderful service to us HHS alumni. Thanks (and the check's in the mail).
Hey Mike, Thanks very much for the dues and thanks for chiming in to let all your friends know you're here. Good Luck finding Les too.

Message: WOW Jack, you can't believe how glad I was just to see your name, and find out you're alive. You're my second Mystery solved in the past three years. I married the first one, Debbie Anderson, two and half years ago. Another class of 75 HHS. Dad's still alive and kicking, so is Bruce and sister Kathy. Mom passed in 05. She would have loved to have known you were alive. You were the hope I had for my brother, but he turned into a tree hugger. We are so different, he drives a Prius and I drive a Hummer H2. Does that explain things? I'm real glad God gets another chance with his poking stick. LOL
I was just explaining to my wife, you were the Eddie Haskell of our family. Just don't call me Beev.

Message: Hi Rick Salisbury! I remember you well, and your brother Bruce. The report of my death is/was premature. "Almost" seems to be the story of my life: My helicopter "crashed", but I was not injured. My motorcycle "crashed", but I was not injured. My surfboard tried to get me eaten by a shark, but I was not injured. As long as God finds humor in poking me with a stick, I am invincible! ;)
Hey Jack, Try and stay that way

I want to say that I am so sorry for not writing sooner but I have been in a fog since that tragic day on Oct. 25th. I want to thank all you Cougars for the phone calls, emails, letters, cards, flowers and kind words that lifted me and my family up at such a saddened time. I also want to thank Jim Schroeder for taking the time to write a beautiful tribute in memory of George. I will cherish that forever. Also, a thank you to Phil Decuir for keeping me informed. I know that George is smiling down upon you and thanking you for all the kind words and memories you shared about him on this website.

Message: Although this is NOT an April Fool's joke, it should be. On March 15, Which One's Pink? "celebrated" its 10th anniversary by having yours truly perform "Pigs on the Wing" with the band at the Canyon Club. And in this digital age, it's up on YouTube. To paraphase Roger Waters, "the species has amused itself to death."
Hey Dan, Very cool and thanks for sharing....

Message: Great pictures on 'Paco's Page'. It was good to see Coach Plum and his wife still looking so young. I remember at the combined Reunion in 2001('59, '60, '61) that I initially didn't recognize the Coach when he said, 'hello' because he looked younger than we 'students' did.
Hey Tom, At 80, the Coach still works out pretty much every day.

Message: John, I just wanted to thank you for making this web site. We're all lucky as a result. I was looking through your new member list and found Jack Dicus, class of 68. He joined the Army with my brother after HHS. They both went in to become Helicopter pilots in Nam. The last thing I had heard about Jack was that his Helicopter crashed, and that they only found an empty seat. It was good to see him on the new member list, even though his email was canceled. Mystery solved! Thanks again John!
Thanks Rick....

Message: It is with a sad heart that I have to report the loss of a good friend and HHS Cougar. After a struggle lasting many years Gerry Bierman, class of "64, passed away last week. Gerry drove a bright red '59 Ford coupe while at HHS. He was also a member of the South Bay Tritons, Hawthorne High's first surf club. A service will be held at Green Hill Memorial Park, 1:00pm April 1, 2008. 27501 So. Western Ave.
Always sad to lose a Cougar, Jim. Thanks for the information.

Message: Hey everyone, hope everyone had a great weekend! What an exciting time to be a sports fan! UCLA in the final four, The Dodgers celebrating 50 years in LA, did anyone go to the Coliseum yesterday? And the 5th annual Cougar golf tournament (I'm pretty sneaky, huh?) Our count is up to 23 people, we need 17! As Bud stated before, we will decide on April 15th whether or not to scrub the tournament. We don't want to. If you are still on the fence, please contact Bud, Wade or myself and we will give you more information or work with you. Of course out of the three of us, I'm probably the easiest to get a hold of. Dust off that putter, and come join us.
