This panorama view below shows the east side of Hawthorne Bl. from Kenneth Chevrolet to about the railroad tracks. Use the scroll bar at right, and at the bottom to view the entire picture.
This picture was taken around Christmas of 1948. Notice the streetcar tracks running down the middle of the street where the center left turn island is today. The street car tracks ended at Hawthorne and Broadway. Everything you see here is now the Hawthorne mall.
