This was the main Bowling Alley in Hawthorne. It was located on about 141st St.
and Hawthorne Bl. and had 14 lanes. It had a Bar, Coffee shop, and a few Pool tables.
It was where the HHS bowling club met until 1961, when they changed to
Tropicana lanes. A scene from the movie "Grease 2"
was filmed in Hawthorne Bowl. Shortly after the movie was released, it was converted
to Medical Offices.
